I'm ok with that, words on here don't bother me. I'm here for discussions around hockey. Attack all you want, if you're ever in the Tampa area we can play 1 on 1 if you want.

Do you always talk hockey with people that don't want to talk to you? Seems a bit strange no?

Berns is amazing, I do prefer the old Del Friscos in Orlando though, I think it's called Christners now. Hey I'm just a regular working man like everyone else on here, isn't this where we come during work?!?

I'd rather debate with this idiot about .6 or .7 seconds being interference some more.

Im not looking to stir up this argument because quite frankly its retarded, but i did read this on CBS sports.

Hockey is a physical game. Contact and collisions are a part of the game, and they need to remain a part of the game. But the purpose of body-checking a player was always supposed to be to seperate them from the puck, to regain possession of the puck, to win a battle along the boards for possession of the puck, or to win a race for the puck.

It was not meant to take runs at opponents just because they previously had possession of the puck and just happen to be standing right in front of you. That is interference.

Unfortunately, that has become the accepted reality in the NHL, and it's justified by screams from coaches, players, media and fans of "FINISH YOUR CHECKS."

But if you're not actually starting the process of hitting a guy until after he has moved the puck, you're not "finishing" anything. You're starting something new that doesn't serve any functional purpose to the game of hockey, and players are getting hurt because of it.

Badly hurt.

The NHL's department of player safety has a time-frame for what is considered a "late" hit (it is supposedly 0.6 seconds after a player gives up the puck, but they never actually reveal what the times are on late hits), but there doesn't seem to be any concrete rule or guideline for it.

In the end, it's supposed to be about whether or not you hit a guy that has possession of the puck.

I said it was interference which it was. 10 out of ten times that gets called in a regular season game.

Totally agree. With modern technology too they could figure out how long after a pass. If they are going to allow after a pass they should give a time, like 0.6 seconds, and stick to it. If Hickey got hurt badly that's what they need and want out of the game.

Because it literally has the biggest wine list in the country (at least it did when i was there). No other steakhouse compares to it. They literally grow everything they serve. Phuck sakes they roast their own beans for coffee. I saw the kitchen and the wine cellar. It was second to none. The phucking kitchen had two HUGE fish tanks with the fresh fish they cook. I thought i was in an aquarium.
