malkin absolutely had the puck on a string and was engaged physically all night.

he just refuses to (frank)ing shoot. bryan rust has speed to burn but he cant process the half court game that malkin plays. he is straight line or nothing.

I mean the Pens have gotten a bit lucky so far, but even if the Caps come back, I feel comfortable knowing the Flyers didn't lose because they were outhit or outmuscled. Hell, the Flyers registered a lot more hits and have more physical players than the Penguins even. More size? Sure. Some more physicality? Why not. But it isn't one of the main reasons they lost, and it won't be one of the main reasons they win if/when they do. The outrage about our lack of 6'5" bruising wingers in the aftermath of the series got to me a bit.

pens have definitely gotten lucky. pens have battled hard, but i think the caps have been the better team the last 2 games. but i dont necessarily think its because of size. oshies not exactly small, but hes been dominant out there. but not through physicality. where was all that physicality clearing the front of the net in OT?

On paper, the Caps are a better team than the Penguins. I don't think there's any question about it. They are very very deep. Otoh Pens have Letang + guys and a rookie goalie and some out of nowhere depth players. Missing Letang probably makes this game a bit harder to judge though...but before the 3rd period, Pens matched them at ES. Last game you got handed though lol.
