So you don't believe the Letang hit on Johansson was suspension-worthy ?
- MadCap2008

Not sure where you get that I'm not??

I actually said in the Pens thread if that was a Caps player doing that to a Pens player I'd want him suspended.

Now again if you say a slash occurs regularly in every game, how many Letang hits do you see that go without sanction?

My comments about the Letang suspension are mostly based on the comments I read & heard via video made from Caps players & coach. Orpiks hit was considerably worse than Letangs but every cap that was quoted referred to it as if it was the same! Trotz defended Orpiks hit saying (from memory), he didn't see anything wrong with it, he also defended Wilsons knee on knee saying the refs congratulated Wilson after round 1 on his hits not contacting anyone's head??? Then he has a huge hard on for Letangs hit & calls for a suspension - that's just very ordinary in my opinion.

This whole series so far is showing the Caps to be dirty (frank)ing whinging bad sports - but that's just my opinion. (I'm not whinging here, just expressing my opinion which happens to be a negative one!).

RE:slashing, whether I'm ok with it is irrelevant, it happens multiple times every game. This wasn't a two-hander to the face like Letang got away with against the Rangers.
- MadCap2008

Ok then, how many Letang type hits don't even get a mention post game? It's not as if it was a hit like Orpiks on Maatta!

Hey! That's my line to Blackstrom! Did you steal that from me?

Seriously, I understand how my comments may come across as a frustrated fan seeing 1 of his teams best players be suspended due to comments made by the opposing team, but in all honesty it's the truth!

If I was on here complaining about things in the game & decisions going against & no puck luck & losing after 'maybe' dominating after a game, then yes that would probably be whinging or whining. But I'm commenting on a team of pro's going out of their way in an attempt to persuade DOPS to suspend another player. That's just 'dirty pool'!

Edit: So you're ok with players slashing other players as part of the game?

You and every other Pen fan seemed OK with Letang's two handed slash to Stalberg's face in round one. Some of you clowns went as far as to say it was an accident

They say ignorance is bliss cpt. Can you please confirm?

For the record - I have said nothing either way about that 'incident'. So be careful when you bandy around your generalised comments. I will say Hickey should have been fined for embellishment, but I gather the league thought costing his team the game paid that bill!

Leaping head shot by Malkin. Can't wait to hear Powerhouse explain this one away.
- MadCap2008

Yup, every hit is a bad one and the reason you guys lost. Pens are all dirty players and all the Caps hits were clean as a whistle.

That "slash" is made by guys every game. You seriously think that warrants a review ?
- MadCap2008

Absolutely not. Neither does Malkins hit.

Wait, whos the one whining? I see you accusing others of it but all I have seen you do in every post is cry about a hit.

Nope. If you actually read our forums and dont talk out of your ass, the majority of us were surprised he didnt get a suspension for that.

The vast majority of our board thought that was suspension worthy. Don't lump us.

So you don't believe the Letang hit on Johansson was suspension-worthy ?
- MadCap2008

Stop being a baby. All of us thought it was worthy of a one-game suspension. Then again, that fraud organization of Washington tried to extort more games by saying Johansson didn't practice/skate on hearing day due to injury, however, he came back 10 minutes later after hit and engaged in physical play.

Do you believe Wilson's intentional knee on knee to Sheary should have been looked at as a suspension? Most knowledgeable people would say yes.

It's always "meh" when it's your guy delivering the hit.
- MadCap2008

Not from me and you know it. I call it as I see it. Letang deserved a suspension. This did not.

I notice you haven't had the balls to show your face in the Pens thread after crowing about how the Caps were going to wipe the floor with them. Hows that prediction working out for ya genius?

Pens poster "Powerhouse" came in to the Caps blog after the Orpik hit/suspension preaching that Caps fans needed to admit that it was an awful hit/suspension worthy and that anyone who disagreed was a homer, then suddenly disappears from trolling when 6 hours later Letang delivers the hit on Johannson. He didn't have the balls to face the music when it was his guy delivering the dirty hit.
