Who would you pile up? I'm worried about trading brown, hyman, sosh without giving them a full NHL season. That full season may be 2017/18 if the Michalek/Bozak/Laich/Greening's of the world make the club

Couldn't agree more with the goalie thing. Except, there is no guarantee of expansion so if another opportunity presents itself, I hope Leafs jump on it. Either way, I trust Lou to make the right call.

Granted there are no guarantees, but all signs point to at least Las Vegas joining the ranks in the near future. This mgmt group doesn't strike me as the 'hope for the best' variety, so I'm sure there a plans A through Z ready to go.

Either way, I'm pretty stoked on the direction here. Good thing the league rigged the draft lotto for us (right Garth? )

Maybe I'm alone here, but I don't get the hard on people have for Vesey. How many college standouts really translate to NHL success. Not saying he won't, just surprised at the demand for him.

Potential no doubt, and a good attitude from what I gather. But there are only so many places for the young guys to play, I'd be more inclined to let the in-house prospects develop in his place.

Having said that, I won't be upset should it happen. Just surprised at the demand. Hopefully not another Brunnstrom, Gilbert, or Hanson.

I think we only need to add 1 guy to our defense this year. With rielly, Gardiner, zaitsev, carrick, Corrado, hunwick, and a new addition. I would love for us to get trouba but who knows what's happening with him. Another year under Babcock for these guys and we should see a big improvement from the back end. Goaltending obviously needs to be addressed as well. I don't mind andersen as the guy we get. He still had good numbers in the playoffs and regular season. He's big and athletic. Anahiem just doesn't have a lot of real fire power after their big 2.

Sounded like my morning. Except:

* didn't win 1st overall
* didn't win 2nd overall
* didn't win 3rd overall

Other than that....



Anyways. Great to see EDM at 4. Great to finally see competent management in T.O. Doing it the right way and doing it well. Now getting rewarded for it.
