I am still not sure the Caps are done yet, 3-1 seems like a big hole but the Rangers showed the last few years its doable. But man talk about choke job after that regular season they had to not get past the 2nd round again.
Also did Mike Weber remind you of Roman Hamrlik on that goal - TPC
I just want you to know when I saw that comment from TPC I said in my head before I clicked on the next page "Jimbo is gunna highlight his name with the face" hahahahah

Man the pens are rolling. I hope for our sake that NYR front office doesn't look at this series and say "well the caps got beat by them too we should be in good shape for next season"
The people who think Girardi is gunna magically come back to his form post 2014 cup run are living in bananaland. buying him out has to be priority 1 for Gorton and co

With the probable impending expansion draft, and the honoring of NMCs, it is imperative the Rangers do their best to rid themselves of that contract.

As speculated last night, Malkin's hit on Winnik deemed ok by NHL Player Safety. Hit shoulder first. Head wasn't principal point of contact

Drastic difference in the Rangers and Capitals series: Capitals have actually outplayed Pittsburgh for large portions of this series. Every game has been decided by a single goal. The Rangers got routed, by three or more goals, in three of the four losses.

Carps individual grade report on Nash kinda convinced me he needs to go. Love everything he does without the puck, just plays way too much of a perimeter game for his size.
Girardi and Nash off this roster goes a long way IMO to remaking this team on the fly.

I just watched the hit and I'm not sure. From the ice angle it looks like he hits the head first. From the stands angle it looks like shoulder first.
Hard hit either way. Ogres always follow through on their checks.

I see what you mean, but I think its different for a forward.. esp someone as durable as Ovi. he could always win a cup in the twilight of his career. not many teams want a goalie starting for them in the twilight of their career

at this point I think they should start writing "is Ovechkin's window closing to win a 2nd round series" articles

Im not sure what shakeup will come if they go out in 5 in the 2nd round. That's a tough call. I said the other day maybe a player like backstrom needs to go.

There won't be any but there should be. The Capitals losing in the second round, again, will be one of the bigger chokes in the last decade. A team with 120 points should be heading to at least it's conference finals.

Alex Ovechkin has never scored a playoff overtime winner
He's on the fast track to being the best player to never win in the playoffs.
I am not even talking about a cup because you would have to get to the conference finals first; both of which Ovechkin knows zero about. - MidnightMarauder
