Can't remember if it was Freidman or Bobo that was discussing it. They polled a bunch of voters and overwhelmingly it was Panarin. They said he fit the rules and deserved it even though he is 5 years older.

I dunno, just the fact the McDavid is a finalist has me thinking he won it. Enough guys voted for him to be in the Top 3, so clearly they didnt care that much about games played or total points.

I get what you're trying to do, and to a point I agree. However, the reason Crosby wouldn't get Vezina votes is because his GAA and Save % are N/A, not because he isn't classified as a goalie. I think the Norris would be a much better example.

This is Panarin's hands down; most points as a rookie in the NHL since Malkin in 2006-07; it's really not even close unless you try to play "lawyer ball" with it question if Panarin is a rookie, which he is anyway.

Panarin gets it for sure. Arguing that he isn't actually a rookie is kinda sad. He fits the defined standards for rookie, end of story. Arguing about his age is a little different, I do think they favor 18 year olds a bit but it won't be enough to make up for the difference in GP. Panarin played the games and he had one of the better rookie seasons in recent memory. He deserves it.

Could Connor Murphy be a potential D target for the Oil? I never really watched much of him but I think he played on the right side of OEL. Tkachuk is also from Arizona.

Other RD that come to mind are Gudbranson and Petrovic
