Handy tried trolling the Oilers 2 years ago saying Hodgson is already a better C than anyone on the Oilers, including Nuge and Drai.

So, I 'd make a trade of Pysyk, Josh Gorges, Tyler Ennis (an Edmonton native) and Buffalo's 8th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft to Edmonton in exchange for the scoring top six winger it needs in Taylor Hall. Chiarelli would also have to trade his fourth overall pick to Buffalo.

After years and years of picking in the 4th-8th overall no-man's land (MDC,G Reinhart, R Strome, Niederrreiter, Bailey) to middling results, there's no way Snow trades for privilege of having to do it again.

I'm not sure how an Edmonton Buffalo draft pick trade is good for both teams? For Buffalo to move from 8 to 4 it's going to cost something decent, Pysyk, 2nd and 3rd round picks, prospects, basically some combination of those. Now why do it if you're Buffalo? To get Tkachuk, he'll be BPA at #4. Sure, the Sabres can really use him, but odds are that one of DuBois or Nylander will be there at #8, so is it worth it? I'm not sure, Nylander looks pretty good, I think I'll take my chances on one of these guys. And I think Edmonton just trading the pick straight up for an established defenseman might be their best bet.

I still wouldn't be unwilling to trade Edmonton native players to the Oil. If they like Pysyk, Ennis, or other of our assets I'm sure a deal could be swung for something that's mutually beneficial.
