No one wants those players, considering your offering them in every trade scenario possible.

the 4th for Hamonic and the 22nd - muffin_man
After years and years of picking in the 4th-8th overall no-man's land (MDC,G Reinhart, R Strome, Niederrreiter, Bailey) to middling results, there's no way Snow trades for privilege of having to do it again. |

they do Michael Pachla, the problem is that somehow Garth is a feature blogger on this site. If he wants a parody blogger they can just use James Tanner cause at least hes legible and entertaining. This has been a farce for awhile now. |

I'm not sure how an Edmonton Buffalo draft pick trade is good for both teams? For Buffalo to move from 8 to 4 it's going to cost something decent, Pysyk, 2nd and 3rd round picks, prospects, basically some combination of those. Now why do it if you're Buffalo? To get Tkachuk, he'll be BPA at #4. Sure, the Sabres can really use him, but odds are that one of DuBois or Nylander will be there at #8, so is it worth it? I'm not sure, Nylander looks pretty good, I think I'll take my chances on one of these guys. And I think Edmonton just trading the pick straight up for an established defenseman might be their best bet.
I still wouldn't be unwilling to trade Edmonton native players to the Oil. If they like Pysyk, Ennis, or other of our assets I'm sure a deal could be swung for something that's mutually beneficial. |

It's the between the lines work we should be worrying about. That makes sense.
The Pegulas shocked the hockey world when they charmed NHL a-listers Steve Ott, Robyn Regehr and Christian Ehrhoff to Buffalo to play for their Sabres.
So this was a shot at management for not getting real talent? That says "a-listers"

Seriously though, when it comes to actual writing, it's that Pachla fella you guys read right? Nothing wrong with having a little sliver of homerism, but some people take it to the next level. |

forget how awful the hall proposal is, why would anaheim acquire RNH? They have Getzlaf, Kesler, (Rackell), Cogliano. They're fine, Anaheim needs wingers. They will move an RFA D for top 6 winger (Hall? Eberle?). Also, how does Fowler help the logjam on Oilers left side? They have 3 NHL defencemen to play the left side and none on the right.

If you really want the Oilers #4 pick a trade will need to look like this
To Edmonton
Pysyk
Buffalo #1 8th overall
2 3rd rounders in this years draft
To Buffalo
Maybe Nurse or Reinhart
Edmonton #1 4th overall
I am not sure if Edmonton is frustrated enough with Nurse to trade him but so far it looks like it.
I know that Edmonton wants Pysyk the questions is who defense wise is young and could be a top 4 they can send back in the trade. - danwest58
