Oh man, I just noticed the latest blog... I'm sure Edmonton fans will love this.

"So, I 'd make a trade of Pysyk, Josh Gorges, Tyler Ennis (an Edmonton native) and Buffalo's 8th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft to Edmonton in exchange for the scoring top six winger it needs in Taylor Hall. Chiarelli would also have to trade his fourth overall pick to Buffalo."

... especially the way the 4th overall is almost an afterthought.

Remember when rumours were going around that Gorges was going to be the first homosexual hockey player to come out.

ROFL .. Jays down by one, bottom of 8, get the first two runners on.

and fail to score.

The most arrogant team in baseball, failing miserably. It is fun to watch.

No I mean *watch* in a sense of following the season. I have TSN open for scores and I am watching the hockey game.

A few actually. From his latest blog comments:

Today @ 8:34 PM ET
I'm excited for the Calder nominations blog... I am certain it will be thoughtful and deliberate, as are all his blogs.

He dominated so much that he wasn't named today as one of the three candidates for rookie of the year

Those comments were mixed in with a lot of Buffalo posters denying anything to do with Garth and insisting their true blogger is Michael Pachla. Pretty bad when even Buffalo fans are distancing themselves from him... But I kind of hope Ek keeps him around. This is comedy gold.

Matt Henderson has a new blog about the Calder nominees actually.

He obviously argues in favor of McDavid. He points out that Panarin has been playing in the KHL since McDavid was 11 years old.
That is just ridiculous. How is the KHL not a pro league? Apparently even Panarin is embarrassed to be called a rookie.

I still expect Panarin to win, but hope McDavid or Ghost do.

Part of me wants to rage on NHL for not nominating Jack Eichel for the Calder. Other part of me laughs at the intellectual dishonesty of it

Not a very good way to form an opinion of what happened in the inning.

Although it was not a good display of base running

I'd rather put Kadri in over his head for a little while than Matthews or Nylander. Kadri has been around long enough to handle it until the kids are ready to take over without it ruining his confidence. Honestly, I don't think its possible to ruin Kadri's confidence. One thing that guy has going for him is a solid belief in himself.

But I agree eventually Kadri will slot in at #2 or #3.

- Thecakeisalie

Komarov Kadri Michalek/Soshnikov/Hyman will take all the tough zone starts and match-ups next year, for sure. It's why Kadri was resigned.

He's shown he can handle it and come away unscathed or even best the opposition when he's on his game (playing with an edge, drawing penalties).

And because his contract is excellent value, he'll be easy to move if/when he can be replaced by a Matthews/Stamkos/Nylander/Marner.
