Personally I'm all about moving up every year with each pick. That being said...

Would you consider moving down to pittsburghs pick (they lose this round) if Tornoto wants to move up and take their 1st in the second round.

So instead of picking 18th you pick 27 and 31.

I've seen a couple mocks where Rubtsov goes early in the second.

Of course I've seen Debrincat go top 15.

These mocks are all over the map after 15.

I think there's a 5% chance DeBrincat going top 15. Rubtsov is pretty unanimously ranked ~ 13-20 by most scouts. He's probably my favorite pick at 17/18 depending, but he might not even make it to there. Like I said, I am very in favor of trading preferably with Colorado at 10 (every mock seems to have Keller to the *spit* Devils at 11). Flyers have 2 2nds and 2 3rds. They probably want a Gauthier/Jones or a d man, and they can get that at 17/18. They don't need a center. I'd kick the tires. And after that I'd call up Sakic.

Hmmm. If Rubtsov and Bellows are gone, it's under consideration. Draft an underrated gem like Dahlen and then maybe Mascherin or someone who falls. Feels like to me there will also be a LOT of very good d men going in that 25-40 range. Wouldn't shock me to see a couple of them turn out to be better than the top d men...I'm a bit down on them. But that move screams Leafs rather than Flyers. They're in full rebuild and, based on their last draft, love quantity picks. I think the 27 and 31 may be more valuable to them.

I'm in the camp that thinks the Flyers have solid depth to all their prospect positions. Wing? They're not the best, but they're very solid, not to mention at the NHL the Flyers have a lot of quality wingers already. D? Meh lol. Goalie is staunch. They don't have a single center prospect that might be a top 6 imo. Maybe top 9 even. They desperately need the quality over the quantity. It's why I want a trade up. Usually I wouldn't. This draft is actually pretty nice in the 2nd.
