I think he likely will be the #1. But it would be negligent to shut the door on other options. Mackenzie indicates the Finns (Laine) in particular has closed the gap in the minds of some scouts. Let's see what happens in Russia over the next few weeks.

Here's the thing - since 2008 the leafs top line centre has been named Stajan or Bozak. Nylander and Kadri are nice but no way do they take any risks by not taking the guy most consider a possible franchise level centre.

The only wild card that could create some thought is Stamkos. But even then the Detroit philosophy has always been strength down the middle. And Babcock has said he prefers to give young centres a year or two on the wing to adjust to the NHL game.

How is tinordi isn't the answer only an opinion?


I guess you could spin it in such a way.... Mtl were of the opinion he couldn't play in this league, hence not playing him and then trading him for trash. Phx was of the opinion he couldn't play in this league, hence not playing him. Tinordi himself was of the opinion he couldn't play in this league hence him taking PED's.
