their supposed elite D need to develop. Klefbom and nurse are like justin trudeau . hes just not ready.. for 1st pairing duties that is. if they get a legit top pair D then they will be a frigging dangerous team this year - Njuice
Trudeau was ready, thats pretty obvious. Klefbom has also already put up respectable top pairing numbers. |

Trudeau reminds me of the close talker. If I met him I'd probably do a Kramer. |

36% against Benn - Seguin - Kane unde 30 against Kopitar.
Looks like he gets owned by the Chicagos La's and Dallas ( just taking a quick peek ) - really owned, at least this year in the few games he played.
I think the Oil need some help on D if they want to dream about top 8 in the West.

Nah, winning that election was easy. Politicians/political parties work on the same cycle. I'm not a PC or a Liberal I usually choose between the two on any given election/platform.
1. Make promises you can't keep
2. Abuse your power
3. Get blamed for everything that goes wrong while you are in office.
4. Do good stuff(that everyone forgets)
5. Get replaced by a different party.
This holds true for all parties. After 4 years or 8 years and whatever broken promises and scandals the Liberals lead us through then the Cons will be back. And the cycle will continue and then the Liberals will be back and on and on and on unless the NDP ever get their heads out of their asses.
Trudeau is just the show piece anyways. He's a photo op and a person people can relate to. At least he is smart and is sticking to his strengths.(photo ops) Harper never should have tried to make himself seem like a common man. It's not his strength. There's one clip out there of Harper where he's talking like a robot. "I like movies and music and the sports." embarrassing for him - hilarious for us. |

I'm not innocent, I made a lighthearted joke about the size of Marner & Nylander, who are great young prospects. What's so wrong with that? Seriously?
You've never, ever, made a joke about another fan bases players or poked fun at another fan base? Get off your (frank)in high horse. You just made fun of the Oilers fan base one post ago. - LeftCoaster
There is a difference. I don't do it every day.
You can't seem to resist. It's pathetic. Grow a pair and admit it.

2 of them
And actually winning hockey games - HB77
What would you give up for Shattenkirk?
Right hand shot, experienced but not old.
If you could get him to agree to sign, would you give up RNH?

Yes
I might push to make the deal a little bigger in this instance and extract a little more (perhaps a depth defender salary dump in fayne and they add berglund/lethera), but essentially I believe I'd do the basic framework |

I think you might get a Berglund. After these playoffs though it looks like Lehtera won't be available.
I have to think RNH would be among the top offers if St. Louis considering trading him.
How about the 4th + Eberle for Hamonic and Okposo
I am not sure if the Islanders do that. I know the 4th is a lot to give up, but Hamonic is a very good Dman and you gain with Okposo over Eberle both in age and production.
Edit: A couple people told me Okposo is a UFA Ooops.
It still seems pretty possible Edmonton could make some big improvements over the summer. |

Agree with you about REM, but why choose one of their most boring songs? I still remember being in Tower Records and hearing this song come on and realizing that Chronic Town and Murmur weren't flukes. The definition of joy!

Don't think we'd want to spend what it takes to resign okposo
But certainly be interested in a deal surrounding hamonic/eberle

Yeah Harbour Coat is a way better song, but I always play early REM, I like New Adventures, it's pretty underrated. |

Why not both?
Shattenkirk for RNH
Hamonic for 4th overall.
Shattenkirk/Sekera
Hamonic/Klefbom
Nurse/Gryba
Fayne
Thats a pretty solid D core.

I know it depends who is available and stuff, but historically, the fourth pick is a worse player than Hamonic. |

I think they'd consider it for sure
I mean theyre most likely looking at chycrun or Dubois at 4
Dubois probably doesnt do much for the oilers anytime soon. And while chycrun's potential is certainly higher than hamonic ceiling, Travis fill huge needs on a team that is desperate to turn the corner now, and has a great contract, and is Just starting his prime
I think the oilers are desperate enough that they consider ebs/nuge/1st for any of hamonic/trouba/shattenkirk (give or take some assets one way or another)
I believe they'd even consider them for brodin if minny was to add something relatively signify any too |

reminds me of how Sabres fans thought Eichel was a better fit for them than McDavid anyway.

seems like if the Oil are dangling the 4th overall their sights would be set higher than Hamonic/Shattenkirk. would not at all shock me to see a trade that involved Subban and that pick.
