Ha - I think it's more about you than it is about me. It's just a little joke, nothing douchey or massively trolling about it.

If we're not allowed to crack jokes we should just head over to hfboards, there's only serious informed discussions over there.

Dude, you constantly chirp the Leafs or their fans. If you want to be an ass that is your prerogative. At least have the balls to own it. There is nothing worse than constantly yapping like a chihuahua and then claiming innocence.

I'm not innocent, I made a lighthearted joke about the size of Marner & Nylander, who are great young prospects. What's so wrong with that? Seriously?

You've never, ever, made a joke about another fan bases players or poked fun at another fan base? Get off your (frank)in high horse. You just made fun of the Oilers fan base one post ago.

That draw was one of the most exciting things ever. I almost had a stroke because at one point I thought the oilers won. Luckily my wife was there to talk me off the ledge. As far as generational talent I read an article somewhere today that called him that. Haven't felt this positive about the leafs since 67. Great recent blogs Jim. Even some of your most ardent detractors are coming around. Cheers

Most teams in hockey should fire the coach they currently have to hire him. Unless your coach is Mike Babcock, you have to consider it.

I used to be indifferent about the Leafs, been a long time since they were in the West or any good for that matter. But over the past six or seven years I've been hearing a lot about how good they're gonna be from the local Eastern transplant friends out here. And on message boards as well, here included.

So now I can't (frank)ing stand them or the two major supposed national sports networks and their websites. I'll poke fun at them every chance I get, the Leafs, I hope they never succeed!

Doesn't mean I don't like the guys who are fans, they despise the Canucks as much as I despise the Leafs organization, but we still chuck poop at each other over a few beers and laughs.

And no one has a hissy fit like you and Aerethial.

Just so we're clear

Any Gm in the league would have made that deal, because as good as Forsberg turned out to be, Lindros was the superior player by a considerable margin. The equivalent today would be a 6'7" 260 lb player who moves and scores like McDavid. In the last 30 years, only Gretzky and Lemieux would come into the same conversation, that's how good he was.

You're right though, Arizona would never make that deal, and I don't see the Leafs trading Matthews.

- The Shrike

Absolutely, Lindros was dominant in every area of the game........and then just for fun he would lay a beating on your tough guy.

Agree on the Bruce firing - I didn't like it and still don't and the list of candidates that have been proposed is Horrrrriiibbble - Randy Carlyle Marc Crawford Guy Boucher the only one worth considering is the Stache and I'm not even sure about that over Bruce - Corey P has blown chunks in 2 of the last 4 playoff yrs going Ofer in 7 game series -

I happen to love me Some sasquatch so I'm not sure about the idea of him not being a Norris finalist 27 goals is crazy in this day and age for a D man - I personally wouldn't take any of those other guys over BB - I still don't know how the hell he got traded from Minnesota -

- dozerD10

Yep, scores and throws some punishing hits.....id take him over most other D if not ALL.

I disagree. It's way to early to tell. If he was so great he wouldn't be a healthy scratch for the Marlies in the playoffs. He has at least two AHL seasons to go.
- Njuice

And I will disagree with you. A large part of the problem for Kapanen is that he plays RW and RW only. AS far as I've heard he has no experience on the left side. RW is where most of our depth is right now and it's about to get worse for him.

To me it now looks like Nylander and Marner will be taking over the to 2 RW positions with Kadri, Matthews and Bozak running down the first 3 enter positions. This is of course barring any trades or FA signings.

I believe Hyman and Lindberg will battle it out for 3rd line RW means that there really is no place in the near future for Kapanen to fit in. He has a high talent level just now does not fit into Leaf plans right now. The best thing to do for both parties is to try and find a trade with a team that has a need on the RW.

As an example, the Hurricanes have a need and they have a lot of depth on D. So package Kapanen plus for Fluery or Carrick or McKeown.

According to the Oilers thread over the last few weeks, the only thing holding back all the ELITE talent, is right handed Defensemen.

The leafs will have to move some good prospects eventually. But i dont think given his performance as a rookie Nylander plays the wing. Bozak has played his last game olin t.o for sure.

Taylor hall is NOT in the same class as Wayne or Mario. Holy hell Tanner. Hall can't hold the jockstraps of those guys. Your over-valuation of Oilers players is comical.

OK I think LL would be willing to trade Connor Carrick and the 2nd rd we got from Washington for the Oilers 2016 1st rd pick...

yep. no room for him. package fir a decent d or future draft picks to sustain a lng term farm system.

still have marner, brown, hyman and johnson above kappy on the right side

way too many good wingers. so many trades to occur in the next few years. exciting.

Sorry JT I disagree. First off Babcock has said that he would have liked Nylander to play along the wall for a season or 2. Second I don't think they trade Bozak unless they actually sign a certain FA Center.

their supposed elite D need to develop. Klefbom and nurse are like justin trudeau . hes just not ready.. for 1st pairing duties that is. if they get a legit top pair D then they will be a frigging dangerous team this year

if they have enough cap space they might keep him until the deadline where they could get a late 1st for him, but with all those overpaid former sens plugs on the books this year it will be tight.

Kapanen he's nothing special from what I saw...his Corsi is worse than Blowzaks and supposedly he's terrible.

Pens let him go for a reason.
