How would Brown compare to a current NHL player...say Desharnais? or Eller?
- Pie

Neither really - Brown looks more like a power forward type C as opposed to a passer. The other Spitfire that'll be worth looking at is Sergachev. He'd be a very good replacement for Markov - not as good offensively - but very mobile who doesn't mind the physical stuff.

The best possible answer. I'd like to see them draft a dman at that slot. I think Markov's impact will be felt when he leaves, despite a tough season.

Agreed - 20 minutes a game d-man are tough to replace.

I was hoping for the Caps until that Orpik hit on Maatta....I could change my mind but right now (frank) both those teams

How many games for that idiot Orpik?
- Pecafan Fan

That was one of the dirtiest hits I have ever seen. Later in the game Richards gave a Penguin a vicious slash while the guy was on the ice.

The NHL doesn't need fighting, it needs refereeing, and actual, meaningful supplementary discpline.

Letting them play

Can't have the refs deciding the games

1 playoff game is worth 2 regular season games

Heated rivalries
