Sorry - typo - I was talking about Brown too. My bad. Brown doesn't have the skills that McLeod has. If Juolevi is available at 9 - the Habs need to snap him up. - The Looper

My opinions are simply based on the being a Knights season's ticket holder for the past 20 years. I've seen a lot of talented kids play against and for London over a long period of time. IMO if the Habs ever entertain I idea of trading Galchenyuk as I saw some fans wanted to - the Habs would be crazy. That kid has a ton of talent that you fans haven't even seen yet. Tinordi and McCarron on the other hand never really impressed me - although it's nice to see McCarron develop his game a little.
I'm all about skating ability, a player's hands, their smarts and competitive level. Galchenyuk and Gallagher have all the above - and McLeod does too IMO. Brown's skating is okay - but he's not 'quick' - as you'd expect with such a big body. Watching the Habs as a Wings fan - the Habs game is all about speed and McLeod would fit in quite well. If McLeod is available he'd be worth looking at - other than Chychrun or Juolevi. |

so you heard it here first - there is already a deal in place, Auston Matthews for Domi and OEL.
In the same convo, which is among some guys that include some Newport Management folk, Tavares hates, and I mean HATES, Brooklyn. Wants out. Not saying Toronto, just saying, NOT the Islanders. He won't sign. - prock

How would you compare Brown's skating to McCarron's at similar ages?

Better than McCarron. His 1st year in London McCarron really wasn't very good - but he improved his 2nd year after he was drafted by the Habs. Brown's upside is higher than McCarron IMO.
Watching Brown its like he hasn't figured just how big he really is and only uses his size sometimes. If he figures it out - he could be a dominate power forward type player. |

Best way to explain it would be if there's a lose puck against the boards and Brown and a 'quicker' guy were side by side 10-15 feet from the boards - Brown would never get to the puck 1st. The 'quicker' guy would get the puck and move it before Brown could get there. Brown's skating from point A to point B is fine - no issues. |
