Him and Therrien are good friends...but I doubt he'll accept an assistant coach job. - stinger67
I'm just hoping that he'll replace Therrien. Not that Hartley is necessarily an upgrade, but maybe the bro-goggles come off where Bergevin and Therrien are concerned if there's a Franco candidate readily available.
And Bergevin won't be so joined-at-the-anus with any new coach, so we won't be treated to high-and-mighty pressers throughout the year about how Hartley is his foxhole guy.

He's not replacing Therrien. Find something else to complain about.

People don't really expect that these GMs will tell the media everything that's going on? Do they? - stinger67
That's what I find funny. People want to know EVERYTHING but that's not how it works. People can whine as much as they want, they will never know what the GM is working on.

horse poop. nobody wants or expects to know poop about what a GM is up to. they want to see action. when they see no action in 4 years, that's when they whine. justifiably.

Everybody just wants a GM who says "Our plan is to build a team ____ way." and then actually (frank)ing does it.
Nobody wants a GM who says "Trades are hard" and then picks up John Scott a few days after he clears waivers.
