First of all that happens all the time, mainly because Adams winners are the coaches whose team overachieved the most. Once the inevitable regression occurs, GMs realize that both the team and the coach sucks.
Secondly he's not that good a coach. What has he ever done outside of riding a stacked Avs team to a Cup 15 years ago?
