I really can't see anyone I'd be happy to see re-signed. One or two I wouldn't be upset about, but definitely not happy.

Worst part is they don't represent any of the teams bad contracts, so letting them all walk doesn't really help much

- ehabs9

They'll probably sign Carr and Andrighetto, and keep Barberio around as defence depth, as well as Dietz and Ellis

So...with the lottery out of the way, I guess the focus will be on contracts and who's up, who is going to be let go of, etc...

Here's who's up for a new contract

Sven Andrighetto RW (RFA)
Mark Barberio D (RFA)
Victor Bartley D (UFA)
Mike Brown RW/LW (UFA)
Daniel Carr LW (RFA, Arbitration eligible)
Phillip Danault C/LW (RFA)
Darren Dietz D (RFA)
Morgan Ellis D (RFA, Arbitration eligible)
Tom Gilbert D (UFA)
Joel Hanley D (RFA, Arbitration eligible)
Bud Holloway D (UFA)
Lucas Lessio RW/LW (RFA)
John Scott (UFA)
Ben Scrivens G (UFA)

Mac Bennett D (RFA, Arbitration eligible)
Michael Bournival LW/C (RFA, Arbitration eligible)
Gabriel Dumont C/RW (UFA)

EDIT: cue the OMG LOLZ and THIS IS DEPRESSING

- stinger67

Andrighetto, Barberio, Carr, Danault,
Dietz, Ellis, Hanley and Lessio would be my guess.
The 1st 4 for the big club, the last 4 for Nfld.

Obviously, the 'big club' is a figure of speach...

You should be pumped. Laine is the better pick.

It will be interesting to see how this unfold in a few years. It's possible...

Nice terms lol. He is 29 not 32. I love how you make it personal every time i post.

25M$/5 years look more accurate.

- Habsody

I never mentioned an age
He turned down 6x6 earlier this year so 5x5 is unlikely.
Who are you and when have we been personal about anything? Seriously.

The fact he turned down 6x6 in WPG doesn't mean he wouldn't sign for less elsewhere though. I doubt he'll get much more than that anyway.

Possible, but I wouldn't expect him to take less to play for the Habs. Higher taxes and a pooptier team.

I was pretty pumped when it was determined Winnipeg had moved up. Was glad it was top 2.
Different players but both potential stars.

That offer was at the start of the year. Don't think he did himself any favours this year though.
That being said I think Jets will talk to him again.

Oh sure, but he could take less to play for a real contender, or go back home and sign with VAN, or play in a bigger market than WPG... point is, I doubt he turned down 6x6 because that was not enough money.
