I found a giant, heavy and I mean super heavy cast iron drum bbq that I somehow wheeled back to my place. Some old ancient weber drum, huge cast iron. It must be ancient, super, super heavy but has some holes corroded through. Going to try to use it as a bbq and smoker, it's just a huge iron bowl. Anyone know what's good to plug up rusty bbq holes lol

Mine is a Weber, but stamped steel. I guess you could just make an alternate tin charcoal tray. Might be able to buy one that fits. Cast is hard to fix.

I don't know exactly what it is, but it looks like it could have been in a public park at some time. The lid alone must weigh twenty pounds. It's a few little corrosion ares, I could probably just even pile coals up against it and it wouldn't really matter. I'm pretty stoked, I've never had something big enough to burn a big pile of wood and really slow smoke something. I like fire.

Slow smoked ribs or a brisket is awesome. Buy lump charcoal and just add a little flavored wood for more smoke, you'll be so proud.
