I honestly think laine is as good as Mathews is not better. Puljujarvi is right up there as well.

As for fourth Tkachuk is still a grade A prospect.

Either way hoping for 1st or 2nd.

Got no love for the leafs, but rather you get Matthews than a western team, and the oilers could use laine/pulujarvi/chycrun more anyway

Been wanting laine as he's a beast with a nose for the net, but on the left side we actually have 2 big guys with decent hands that create space for Connor in pouliot and maroon already. And both have been very successful alongside him

If I had to guess, they probably aren't willing to bet much on those first 3 guys making a HUGE impact next year, let alone tkachuk who seems like step down from them

I think if they don't get in the top 3, they'll probably play it safe and try and trade it or take a defender with big potential and develop him slowly
