i think he is trying to do a bit too much. but yes, the battle/engagement level is night and day compared to last game. he's in it.

I would absolutely love to be wrong here.

ye. almost every shot I saw was only perimiter and no person infront of goal. even worse is that holtbys rebound control has been poop and our players are not crashing the net with speed like they used too. IF they crash the net they win. if they don't they will lose cuz of some bullpoop penalty and caps getting a goal on a lucky bounce

That was indefensible. Virtually nothing you can say to support Orpik's case.

Holtby is a problem for us.

The bigger issue is Washington's team defense that's preventing us from cycling. Our scoring chances aren't very dangerous cus we can't get to the net.

Just saw the orpik hit. If the NHL was serious about concussions that should be a 10-20 game suspension. Orpik shouldn't play the rest of the series at a minimum.

It's much more than just these playoffs.

Can't say I'm that impressed with Holtby... I don't think we're creating that many good chances... almost a bit like last season's Mike Johnston hockey, in lots of shots but not many great chances.

Now, thats not because we're just trying to shoot all day... they are controlling the rebounds and interfering any attempts to get into position. Refs with all those calls in the first round have disappeared suddenly.

I'm partially in the take runs at their guys camp now. The problem I have with that is its a game we can't win.

Caps going with four D. Barely heard Chorney or Schmidt names at all. We need to take advantage of that. Get a lead and force them to activate their D.

As the game moves on, it will have an effect. Pens need to change strategy just a bit. Need get guys in front screening and just get the puck on net.

On a play like that Orpik hit their should be a rule that you can add a player mid game. If one of your guys is injured on an illegal hit you should be able to pull someone in from the press box. That would be quite a punishment especially if its in the 3rd period or OT to let a team add fresh legs.
