Reinhart moved to wing
MacKinnon moved to wing
I can go on & on

Wherever Vesey signs, he won't be guaranteed a "line"
And it's not really a "3rd line" if you're playing with Matthews

We'll be a finalist on Stamkos' list

- jdfitz77

You plan on getting Matthews with what the 9th pick?

Reinhart was a given to move there with acquisition of ROR and our lack of quality wingers.

Mackinnon still plays majority at center.

Everyone's a finalist for Stamkos. Nobody cares who's in on him. All that matters is who will have him. Rumours are rumours. Bob Mackenzie's rumour wasn't even a rumour. He was just stating where else is there a possibility if Stamkos doesn't sign in Toronto.

Vessey is gonna sign where he's guaranteed top 6 minutes. Not to play third line. And yes it is a third line because we aren't getting Matthews. So you can dream.

I swear, if McDavid is on the cover of NHL 17, well I don't know, but I'll lose my mind.

Why? Matthews is RNH in the making. I'm not trading a future Norris winner for that.
- Jammerz04

First,
RNH is REALLY good

Second,
Matthews would sell tix out there, which is important.
Also, he grades out extremely close to Eichel when he was drafted. It would not surprise me if he outproduces Eichel's rookie year. Matthews is awesome.

As far as franchise Cemter VS franchise defenseman goes
I'd take the center
I think u can win & get into the playoffs building a solid defense even if u don't have a true #1
U can also play a more defensive style to help them out on the backend

No one will guarantee Vesey top 6 minutes. A rookie 3rd round pick that wasn't good enough to come out until his rights expired? No (frank)ing way. He might be a nice player and maybe he will be in a top 6, but it won't be guaranteed. Eichel wasn't even guaranteed to make the team, and he wasn't allowed to pick his number until he did.

Edit: Reinhart started in the bottom 6 as well. And he was a 2nd overall pick.

moulson , as bad as his production was, his point per minute on the ice, was not much lower than e. kane and much higher than the lion eater
- homiedclown

You have to take that stat with a grain of salt.

TOI is a big factor. Which that stat doesn't take into consideration.

Yeah, but you need a bonafide superstar on defense to win. Keith, Doughty, Letang, Lidstrom, Chara over the last how many years?

Edit: Obviously elite centers are vital too. When the worst guy is Bergeron. That's a pretty important position as well.

OEL is untouchable. Price they'd prolly offer is Strome, and maybe 2 firsts.
- Jammerz04

I would do that deal

Lol nobody will? Predators guaranteed him a top 6 role not a month ago. Vessey was good enough to come to the NHL. He chose not to because he didn't want to sign with the Preds. You really got to keep up with the Vessey story bud. He was a Hobey Baker finalist last season and this year he won it.

Eichel wasn't guaranteed to make the team? Are you for real? He was a guarantee when Sabres lost the draft lottery. He was actually aloud to pick his number bud. It was Eichel's choice not to until he officially made his NHL debut. He wanted to "EARN IT" even though he was a given right off the bat.

Reinhart is a winger and center when he was drafted, so there's no surprise he moved over to wing. Reinhart was on the 4 line because he needed more experience and chance to develop. Once injuries took over he moved up. Then formed great chemistry with Eichel and he stayed.

I think Cemter is more important,
But u can certainly make a case either way

Matthews also sells tickets though
So for Arizona, he'd be a more valuable guy to build their franchise around than OEL

Think they'll mulligan and give it to Patty Kane after the PC police took him off last year?

You have to win games to sell tickets. AZ has been so bad for so long...unless AM can help them win more than OEL I beg to differ. Matthews is very good, but OEL is a freak right now. If Arizona wants to sell tickets they need a playoff series or two for the fans to see. IMO without a winning, playoff record for a couple years even McD wouldn't sell out their stadium (they'd be losing anyways).

I disagree with the part where you say Connor mcDavid wouldn't sell out there stadiums a franchise player changes everything
