Being with Tavares doesn't automatically make one a consistent 30-goal scorer by itself. It didn't happen for the carousel of people who played with JT this season. Moulson always had a good nose for the net, but, yeah, he needs not just elite talent with him, but an elite playmaker to get him the puck at exactly the right moment.

He can't skate well enough to create his own space, he's not all that good along the boards, and he's not even a real net-front presence the way people used to say. He's really just a guy who becomes basically invisible while the other two players on his line do all the work. Then when everyone forgets about him he can sneak into a good area, and if someone gets him the puck at the right time, he's calm enough by the net to pick a spot and score.

So, he's only good for that one thing, and only if he's in the right conditions to do it. He could probably find a home somewhere and produce again, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth trying to figure out exactly what those right conditions are.

And yet, because we are stuck with Moulson, you defend his slowness, lack of scoring, and no upside to his game.

I fully expect both to be improved hockey players for us next year, unless they are traded....I think trying to move Gus is a mistake cuz we won't get a lot for him, and because he is still young,cheap, and still has room to grow. Giving up on a kid that young who has already shown he can be versatile and score some goals is a mistake.

Girgensons attitude is starting to get on my nerves. Didn't like the comments he made. If he had the production to back up those comments I'd let them slide.

I'm sure if we do people over rate him and everything I mean he's a good player but he has his moments just like Tyler Myers he'll make some gorgeous play and then he will just do the dumbest play ever but I would be totally fine if we traded for him

no, no, he will be EXPOSED for the expansion draft, but nobody is taking him. we will have far more appealing pieces exposed. pysyk/mccabe, larsson, foligno, ennis, i mean yeah, exposing him helps us get to 25%, but nobody is actually taking him.

moulson put up 1.31 points per 60 minutes on a really bad year

the young savior put up 1.01 points per 60 minutes

moulson's production is 30 % better and he stinks to hell


so if you look at the golden child, WITH BOTH EYES OPEN, he really took a big step back


you can't have it both ways, bash one player to no end, yet put a first rd bust on the untouchable list whose production is a fraction of a slow moulson

Are you really making excuses up for the building it's been absolutely terrible I can understand the The building being dead quiet Last year . But this year you have Jack and Sam you had Ryan O'Reilly you had hope yet the fans just did their usual crap I'm just saying let's not make up excuses

Go to any other arena and it's a lot different atmosphere and this one is just terrible
