To me, since he was on Phoenix. He is a good power play guy, can get some points, but his defense is marginal at best. If we're talking about paying a guy Free Agent money to play defense he should be a guy that is going to be the one that you want to see on the ice on the PK or with a minute left in the game. Neither of those things are Yandle. Points are great and flashy and they win Norris trophies now but to me I'd rather get a guy who can help the team in his own zone.

Don't do that to yourself. You're gonna get your expectations way too high and gonna get hurt. I'm not great at stats but let's say the odds of stamkos are 20% and the sabres have what, a 15% chance of getting a top 3 pick I believe? That means .25 * .15 and you're looking at a 3.75% chance of getting both. We just lost two lotteries with odds closer to 20%. Just don't give yourself enough rope to hang yourself with

I hate Jack on the point. I feel like it eliminates so much of his game. I want him set up exactly where Ovechkin and Stamkos do. Let that vicious one-timer go as often as possible.

I don't have a problem with him being there on the face off, I just don't like him so far from the net as the puck is moving around. His hands and vision are too good to be way out there IMO.
