Stone doesn't take important defensive face-offs. Generally the centre has a bit more responsibility defensively than the wingers.

it always makes me laugh that people criticize the norris by saying it should be renamed the "best offensive dman award", but you rarely see anyone criticize the selke......it should be renamed "the award for the center who combines lots of points with a good faceoff%" award.
