I'd trade both Kreider and Hayes.
- tomburton99

Hayes has to be the one to go out of Hayes/Miller/Kreider. He is the youngest and cheapest, and will provide decent return. I also think his ceiling is at best equal to theirs.
McD goes nowhere. I know you guys are just throwing out fodder for discussion, but there really is no reasonable situation where he gets traded this year. Our D corp will be enviable by the start of the season with minor tinkering. Book that!
Nick Rash should stay...for now. I maintain my thoughts from the other day that he definitely needs to be traded, but the right time for that is at the trade deadline. Let him have his rebound season to play up his value and then move him to someone desperate to make a playoff push. Our return will be WAY more than moving him coming off of this season.
Frank, I don't know why I'm not working as a GM. This stuff is easy!

So basically he pulled a Tanner, Greenberg that is.
- tomburton99

In fairness, the article was prefaced as saying that it was simply a list of the top players under 25 based on their Corsi, or whatever metric he was using. It's not like Greenberg was claiming that Tavares wasn't actually one of the top under 25 players in the league.

Okposo is about as physical as rangerdanger was in high school gym class
- eichiefs9

I agree with SES, Okposo is soft and not what we need, let the wild overpay for him. We need D and to get rid of the D taking up space already.

Did you see the interview Greiss gave after the game last night?

I didn't, usually dump the game the second it ends. What did he say?

I did catch the young Ranger fan that was tweeting some pretty putrid stuff to Greiss' wife, among others, though. Seems he deleted his twitter account since last night

Like what kind of putrid, because if it was just the simple stuff, like i'd like to get a look at your turd cutter than that ain't so bad.

I don't think Dallas would ever have entertained a rental for Nichushkin.
- rangerdanger94

I don't think Washington will ever trade forsberg for erat. . . . Wait a second . . .
At the deadline people aren't thinking the same as every other day.

It's all downhill from here for the Rangers, even our young players are over the hill.

If the popular belief is to trade Mcdonagh than what are we doing here? Brady Skjei isn't going to be ready to replace Mcdonagh's play. Just blow the whole thing up if that's the case.
- tomburton99

We played fine without him. I love mcd and what he brings but we're not replacing him with scrubs. If the offer is Draisitl and 4th overall I'm making that deal every day of the week and 2x on sunday.

The PK needs to be addressed this summer also. Ottawa has two guys, Pageau and Zac Smith, who had 11 shorties between them. Get one of them

Don't you know? Player progression and decline is all linear. If a players production drops 5% year over year, he's guaranteed to loss 5% in production every year moving forward. There's no possible way that a player can rebound and have a more successful year after an off one.

Seeked out her twitter account to tell her that he hopes Greiss tears his ACL, dies driving drunk, and some other stuff. Continued to act like a petulant baby as people replied to his garbage. He kept saying how much he loved it, yet his account is deleted today.

Rookie year playing center? You don't think that was a great year for him?

Not talking about great compared to league leading centers, talking about what was expected of him.

Sorry Tom, this has nothing to do with me personally liking him, but if fans give up on a big center who clearly has very good skills after 2 (frank)ing years, we deserve to be a poop team.

So the 4th overall pick would be used on one of Chychrun, Juloevi or Sergachyev who are all at least 2 years away from NHL players and 5-7 years from their prime. Why keep the band together when you getting rid of the foundation? It doesn't make sense.

No, I don't know what it is, this is my opinion. But, after watching 2 seasons I think I know the type of player he is and producing or no, I don't think we need him as much as the other two. Everyone swoons over his magic mitts, but he NEVER plays tough and doesn't bust his ass to cover his guy. We need more players that have a complete game, which I think JT will have and Kreider is closer to having (i.e. toughness).

I like his skill set to. What I don't like he's never willing to shoot and for his size, he's not physical at all. He very rarely drives to the net. For example Hayes and Nash should play like Zucc and Fast. Very few D-man would be able to handle those guys if they played like the little guys. They don't Kreider doesn't play to his size either.

And making that deal isn't even close to a rebuild or mini rebuild. Draisitl will be and might already be a stud and u get a 1st in the top 5. Along with some of the other possible trades (brass for shattenkirk) well be fine. Basically it's Mcd and Brassard for Draisitl Shattenkirk and a top 5 pick. That's not blowing anything up or rebuilding anything.
