Its the same PHUCKING hit

Same hit new rules, is that really hard to understand? You can't go pull hits from 2007 and say because they did it then they can do it now, the rules have changed. I am not arguing anything, I am not saying it was an illegal hit I am saying the way the NHL defines boarding leaves it open to judgement and I can see how someone could say it was boarding and I can see how someone can say it was not boarding.

'Tell you what i can see.......the refs didnt call boarding. They are the rules in 2016.

Yeah because refs never miss a call. You can have a stance one way, that's fine. If you really can't see, based on the exact wording of the NHL definition of boarding, how someone could make that argument then that is fine. At the end of the day that didn't make the Lightning lose.

Hope the kid is doing well, but just to make an opinion, the hit wasn't boarding bc Condra was like 5-10ft away from the boards. It was a clean hit, sorry u may disagree but he wasn't defenseless, prob was that unfortunately Condra was chucked like 5-10ft which made the check/hit worse.

I never said I disagree but based on the vague definition the NHL puts out about boarding I said you could make an argument it was boarding. I was fine with no call but I would also understand a boarding call, especially if the NHL is trying to reduce head injuries, hits on a vulnerable player in that position need to be reduced.

glad it wasn't necessary to take him to the hospital but it wasn't good to see. Hopefully he'll recover and be back in the series soon.
