This team and especially the coaching staff need to learn what a killer instinct is.....
- keaner17

They have a whole different strategy when they have the lead, and they're a lot worse at executing it. They should just stay on the gas!

Greiss was friggin' awesome in the third, and the team all around was good until they played to protect the lead.

Stromer has a kickass playoff beard.

Mark my words...he will be a point per game player when he hits puberty.

Have to keep playing Nelson and Strome together and with other offensive players. Bailey and Kulemin should never see the top 6 again.

Was at the game tonight. Place is a library. They give them these stupid noisemakers because their fans don't cheer or make any kind of real noise. Pathetic.

Beautiful building. Great fan fest stuff outside. Real, legit fan base (unlike Florida). But not loud at all. I was shocked

If Rosie O'Donnell benches Strome again he should be fired. This kid has been solid in the playoffs. He sets up the two big goals at the end of the first. Josh Bailey is a dead piece and it's time to say goodbye

Huge win and in wasn't concerned at end. We have proven this year we can close out games. Whether it's 4-1 or 5-3 final it's a W and we take home ice.

This series will be won by our 4th line. Tampa simply has no answer for them.

Greiss is the man. I've been saying that all year. Guy has ice water in his veins.

Nice game by Strome and Nelson. We need these guys for the run

And finally I can't agree more on Bailey. He played himself out of this lineup. Even I can't defend him now.

It was awesome to see Ben get Bish-Slapped! The schedule is great for the Isles! The bolts had a lot of time off and are sitting again. There is nothing worse after playing a inferior opponent and advancing, then losing in game one. They are off their game and we need to step on their necks Saturday.

I agree. Whenever they try to hold onto a lead it bites them in the arse. Not a fan of them trying to lock it down just keep going with what was working. Playing that style with tampas first line out there is playing with fire. Those guys have to be the fastest line in the NHL. We couldn't contain them for long stretches in the third. I also feel they were gassed in the third this break between games I think will benefit us.

There's obviously a lot of hockey left, but I said before the first game Tampa will not have an answer to the isles "4th line". Prince and Quine are really making the most of this. Just straight up hungry. Love it.

The momentum swung as soon as Cizikas laid that monster hit. You never wanna see a guy looking like he's that out of it. But the hit was clean. He just out muscled him.

Greiss just has it right now. HUGE!!!!

It's the curse of the three goal lead. You let up without even realizing it. But at the end (ironically when coach came back) the boys beared down and took the win. LGI

If Bishop isn't on top of his game......without stamkos and stralman the lightening are gonna have a tough time with the isles. You need your goalie to steal games, not steal a seat on the bench.

He's taking his own time out. Puck to the face. Off to the room
- PeteM

Gotta give it to the coach.......that had to hurt.

Media : "So coach hows your nose after taking that puck to the face"?
Coach : Our boys battled hahd and Johnny is Johnny. In this league you have to play a full 60 min to be successful........I never comment on the goaltenders.

is the outback steakhouse still in the building? I went there for an Isles game years ago, got a Bloomin' Onion and devoured it at my seat.

Still a lot of work to do and Tampa will come back hard next game, but they need Stralman back because the Isles should get plenty of chances against that D and Bishop has to have the Isles in his head a little.

Not worried about the let down in the third, isles played two straight double ot games and I expected them to be gassed in the 3rd. The win was the important thing and they got it. Tampa's speed is lethal but they don't have an answer when it gets physical. Gotta stay on the body and force them to think more about getting rid of the puck than making plays. I can see this going 5 if the isles play like they did in the first 40 minutes. This is a better matchup for us than Florida was.

Isles should really be able to work that Tampa D. Tampa not having Florida's size is another plus. Still going to be a tough series.

Adjusting from the slower, more physical Panthers team to the smaller but speedier and more balanced Tampa team will probably prove to be difficult. We saw the Triplets line carry the play for long stretches at times last night. Outside of them and Drouin though, nobody else is of particular worry. Hedman is great, but he's saddled with Matt Carle, who makes Brian Strait look like Nik Lidstrom.

Yes.. I was there for the Frozen Four this year and it is in the building...

they did not have the tesla Coil going this time in Frozen Four. I was curious to hear if that is busted or they just stopped using it for the FF.

Yeah.. I said that and thought that yesterday. I am glad that so far we all look right in that assumption.. hope it stays that way for the series. We can skate with anyone when we give a sht.... it's the Big teams that kill the Isles.
