Yeah it would be quite unrealistic to think that would happen.

If he makes the Leafs next year, he would be sticking around for good I would imagine...it may hurt his confidence badly to have him up for a year in the N then send him to the A...unless of course a small conditioning stint if he got hurt or whatever.

- Lucas.Neilson

Could he not join the Marlies this season once the knights are done? That would be nice to see.

haha no doubt partner.

I can admit fully, I will have trouble sleeping Friday night knowing the lotto draft is Saturday.

- Lucas.Neilson

Jack & Jim could help with that.

The only thing I can envision or guess, is if he stays for more than nine games, there is a chance they could loan him to the WJC, if they feel he is best served by going there.

I wouldn't be surprised if he started in the O after the 9 games...called up eventually like Nylander this year.

I am not too stressed about where the ping pong balls land, I have already accepted we will be picking 4th but will still get a good player. Anything better is a bonus.

I am stressed about the Pittsburgh pick, they need to lose to Washington. If we can find some gold with that pick that would be great since Kapanen in my view will never be an impact player and Harrington looks like a number 4 d-man at best.

The City is broke ass.. For real.. Really broke. I have been there and and have seen it go from busy to empty, back to where it is today. Has a long way to go.
- bixll

Agreed. A very long way to go. The improvements over the past decade are very noticeable though.

I'm not a Gardiner fan, you can't fix stupid. No big deal for me if he is dealt.

Anybody know what our Pitts pick will be if they lose to Washington?
- Atomic Wedgie

23-26, depending on how they finished the regular season compared to the other teams that lose in round 2.

That is how I read it a while ago

Edit... I they would pick 25th regardless since Dallas and St. Louis can't both lose, but one must lose and Pittsburgh finished ahead of everyone else.

26th - Dallas or St, Louis
25th - Pittsburgh
24th- other loser with less regular season points than Pittsburgh
23rd- other loser with less regular season points than Pittsburgh

Meh, he likes Gardiner, I held up hope he could fix his constant brain cramps but it's an exercise in futility.

Here is an interesting fact,

28 of Marner's 35 playoff points are primary points.
