I agree in that the only way I'd trade down from Matthews is if we got az or to first this year as well as marner/strome. It'd have to be a massive overpayment. The top 3 project to be franchise players, and we don't have any of those. I wouldn't hate trading down from 1 to 2, as I really like laine and Matthews and think your getting an eventual superstar either way.

Any chance we can get Dubois ? I havent kept up with where all the prospects are ranked right now I know the big three are the same I have to imagine Tkchuck and chycrun are still hanging around and after that it likely comes down to preference ? I like the big Sniper in Gauthier but is he not likely a 20's picks or mid to late teens ? Not sure I would take him where we stand but if he fell to early second or late first I would consider trading up to add him.
