I don't see how that could possibly be right....

Draft order for the losing playoff teams is done for the first 2 rounds. So you take all of the non-playoff teams and teams that didn't make the conference Finals and seed them 1-26. It doesn't matter if you lose in the first or second round, you're still seeded on points. 27-30 are reserved for the conference finalists.

My friend should be dead.

No longer than 5 years ago she had a 1 in a billion severity aplastic anemia.

She got a marrow transplant that no one before her had ever gotten. Don't know the specifics.

Today, we found out aplastic anemia is gone and is never coming back.

Some people with aplastic anemia also have a rare disorder known as paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. This disorder causes red blood cells to break down too soon. Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria can lead to aplastic anemia, or aplastic anemia can evolve into paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.

Fanconi's anemia is a rare, inherited disease that leads to aplastic anemia. Children born with it tend to be smaller than average and have birth defects, such as underdeveloped limbs. The disease is diagnosed with the help of blood tests.

The transplant was a bone marrow transplant, it's the only known cure for the disease. She's incredibly lucky that everything went her way. This disease is most often a life long battle.

Happy for your friend!

It was about the only thing Hexy would commit to in his press conference today

Have to wonder if the guy had a problem and if it affected his ice time. I think dui in Russia isn't viewed quite like it is in N.A.

You only get ticketed over there if you haven't got any booze to share with the arresting officer.

Very cool. Great news. Science is able to do some wondrous things these days. I have a family member who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (same cancer that killed former flyers coach Roger Neilson) in 2002 and with modern science she has survived 14 years since diagnosis. MM usually takes lives in 5-10 years.

Us scientists are going to have to keep it up because climate change is the biggest threat that humanity has ever faced. We have a lot of technical and educational work to get done and not much time to do it, if we plan on staving off catastrophic events for our children's generation.
