I would like to see the lottery switched to this format:

1st pick is a lotter among the bottom five teams. All these teams should be in a full rebuild and their fan base is most likely going through some suffering, so they need the most help.

2nd pick overall is a lottery of teams 1-10. You'll have the other four remaining bottom feeders and five other teams in a further along point of their rebuild. Even the Sabres at #8 are far enough along on their rebuild where I can say that maybe we don't deserve to be in the running for #1. I don't think that the teams 11-15 should have a shot at picks 1 & 2 they should have worked harder to make the playoffs, not be reward with the 1st overall for missing the playoffs by a point.

3rd pick overall, should be for all remaining non playoff teams, a team like Boston should have a crack at this spot, not #1 overall

I like that, but I'd amend it a little

#1 and #2 can only go to teams 1-5
(for years when there's Tyler v Tyler, Connor & Jack, etc)

#3-5 can only go to teams remaining in the bottom 10

Teams finishing 11-14 are ineligible to move up

Call me crazy, but I actually kind of dig the new Panthers logo. It's different. And not so bland like the rest of the league. The horizontal stripe is a bit of a read: blatant, ripoff of the Canadiens, but I like it.

I like it a lot I used to think the LA Kings was a car logo but I got used to it this one just looks sick .. I just hope they get the colors right on the Jersey though

I really don't know what to tell you then...game starts at 7pm there, can't start at 4 cause people work and its a Wednesday

If you want to complain you can start with them starting round 2 when round 1 isn't over but that's about it. But the earliest that game 7 would start would be 9pm our time.

And even if they did start at 9...that puts the game ending at what..about 1230?...a 10pm start has a game 7 ending at 130am on the east coast!

Do they want to get people excited about the sport or not? B/c making them stay up til 130 in the morning on a week night is the wrong way to go about it.

There are more than one coast to think about that's the problem. The last thing the NHL would want is starting a game 7 with the building 3/4 full...the game is on the west coast they are going to cater to the home fans

Can we atleast agree a 9pm start would be best? Thats 6pm on the West coast, gives people time to get out of work, drop off poop at the house, pick up the kids and head to the game. Ya it might not be super full at the very beginning, but half way through the first you'd fill it up.
