I'm gonna say Tampa in 6 based on the more balanced team coming into the series. Not taking anything away from you guys beating the Panthers, but like you said, Tampa can pretty much roll 4 lines all game, and you guys were the Greiss/JT show.

Like you said though, if someone picks it up besides JT, could go either way.

Speaking of this...wtf was with Milbury threatening to backhand Ian McHugh during the pregame for the Stars/Hawks game? I played the video back a few times and have no idea what he was upset about.

Who knows.

Milbury was probably trying to eat a frozen diarrhea popsicle and McHugh was probably telling him not to.

Honestly...I hope everyone everywhere consistently picks against the Islanders always.

I never want to be the favorite. That's how you get let down.

Jokes aside...I can't blame anyone for picking Tampa. They're a good team with a lot more playoff experience than the Islanders. It's not unreasonable to think they'll win.

I would give him another year. Both Hayes and Kreider. If either of them play to their potential, look out. I could see one or both going at the draft though.
- Fenrir

Problem with Hayes is not whether or not he reaches his potential, it's that even when he is playing well he isn't that great without the puck. He didn't look to me like someone who couldn't figure it out this year. He looked like someone who didn't give a crap whether he did or not.
I would love to be wrong (and I'm sure you guys will let me know whether I am ), but that's what I saw.

Kicked with his left leg? What kind of malarkey is this?

Funny thing is, I'm right handed, but kick left, use a lefty stick, use an axe lefty (but throw it righty), slingshot lefty, ambidextrous archery, and firearm righty.
I'm all mixed up

Hayes did look lost without the puck this year. That's all on the coach to make him positionally aware.

The Rangers are going to overpay for one of Milan Lucic, Andrew Shaw or David Backes.

Every time I have a bad day at work I realize that Ian McHugh has it worse being forced to work with Mike Milbury on national television and keep a straight face.

I came up with this, and then realized that it kind of sucked.

Zucc-Brass-Nash
Lucic-Stepan-Miller
Kreider-Hayes-Buchnevich
Glass-Helm-Fast

Klein-McDonagh
Girardi-Staal
McIlrath-Skjei

Honestly, in the small move department, I like the idea of getting Helm if it doesn't cost too much.

Rangers can't play a speed and transition game without D-men who can make a tape to tape breakout pass. McD and Skjei are the only ones who can do it consistently.

Rangers can't thrive on setting up in the zone and working teams out of position because they always have their backs to the center of the ice protecting the puck. Zucc is the only forward with the skill/confidence to put his back to the wall and see the ice. Stepan and Miller do it occasionally. The result is a bunch of dump around the boards passes rather than tape to tape

And I'm the crazy one for wanting this thing to get blown up? Does the world you live in without a salary cap, have gold plated poopers and rose pedals falling at your feet?

Everyone here is talking about how acquiring Stamkos is impossible with the cap but no one is actually doing the math

Stamkos at 11.5M AAV can be fit snugly under the cap assuming a Girardi buyout and the cap rising to 74M.
