So the Flyers sat back in a tight box and blocked shots in the first 3 games and got tortured, got aggressive and took away time/space and completely shut down the Caps PP in the next 3 and you're suggesting they should got with the approach that Washington has feasted on all season because Adams blocked some shots in '09? Insightful.

Go ahead and chase the puck around. See how that goes. Some shots? Nearly all of them.

highly unlikely, considering he was only credited with 15 blocks in 24 games... less than a block per game.

I watched it earlier and it was still there. Around the 50 sec mark is where Rossi asks the question
Edit : 56 sec mark. To me it wasn't really all that confrontational.

It's impossible to predict what will happen in this series. It could a Cap or Pens sweep, or it could go seven, or anything between. It's impossible to just rely on the skillsets involved, it's about which team(s) show up. Will the Capitals be undisciplined and the Penguins make them pay on the PP? Will the Capitals be undisciplined and the Penguins lose their minds? Will it be a series full of special teams (which despite the Penguins' PP and PK success still would benefit the Capitals, because it would slow the game down), or a 5 on 5 series? Which stars will show up? What if all the stars show up?

I just can't wait for it to get started.

Thanks man! We got pretty lucky. My buddy said he saw it "touch" down then go up real quick. Said it scared the poop out of him.

Quick has no business in top 3 IMO. he was tied for 19th(!) in sv% at .918. I believe his reputation exceeds his actual ability.

I was gonna say Bishop had real good numbers this year, but he already had given up 3 tonite, now 4, so I left that part out.

Things are highlighting the flaws in the division-based playoff bracket system. One dominant division, one weak division. The Rangers would have rolled the Panthers/Lightning/Red Wings in a series had that been the arrangement. And I don't really think the divisional rival aspect of it makes it any more interesting for the fans. Playing the Metropolitan division isn't that special because we've already seen each team 5 or 6 times. And a lot of those are typically in March right at the end of the year, so it gets a little monotonous.

Keeping Schultz would be at the expense of Daley. and TD certainly has shown the ability to fit in.
- Oneonta Penguin

I would love to keep schultz. I am warming to the idea that Lovejoy is going to get an offer we can not afford to match. I prefer to keep schultz of we can and hope that a full year of competent coaching helps him reach his potential

Maybe Calgary will pick up the Reverend and give him 3 x$2.9/per like they did with Engy

For my personal purposes this season I'm loving the fact that our path to the SCF is blocked by three Metro teams. We've struggled so hard against the Met the past few seasons that I'm relishing the the chance to exercise all of our demons. But if it wasn't for that subplot I'd absolutely hate it.
