Assuming prior conversations with Shatty about resigning and I'd happily take those deals, though I can't speak for pretty much any other Oil fans.

Nobody in Edmonton wants McDone from the Rangers.not the Oilers and not the fan base. We are going to use our so called "overvalued" players and or maybe our pick,to land Alex Pietrangelo. Ya just like when the Isles were struggling they shoud've traded Tavares for a package of poopty assets, or the Hawks with, Kane and Toews, or Pittsburgh with Crosby and Malkin. The list goes on and on. We should trade all of our good players for 1st rounders, prospects, and 2nd pairing defensemen because we're the Oilers and because we struggle our assets are worth less. I (frank)ing hate these banana eaters on here. Our GM won't accept the same trade you made on NHL 2016 so we're gonna be the worst team in the league forever. Have you Oilers fans ever considered the possibility that maybe you are the crazy ones and not everybody else?

McDonagh really does have more value than Hall because of his position, salary and the fact that he is by far the best skater on a team that has had some success in recent years. That goes doubly so for McDonagh vs. RNH. If the Oilers lose the lottery trading the pick and Nuge for McDonagh and change isn't too far-fetched at all, only unless rosterbation is still more important than winning hockey games.

IMO the Oilers should not consider moving that pick. I think the they need to start over a little bit, with McDavid, Draisatl, Nurse, Klefbom, and that pick + Whatever they can get for Hall, Eberle, RNH, Yak, which should amount to some real good assets.
