Are we going to see another year of Streit/Schultz/Amac on the D?
What will Hexy do?
Umberger I think is bought out.
Gudas I think will be signed to a 2 year deal, 2.25 yr one then 2.75 yr two.
Amac is unmovable most likely.
Streit I love but man this year with his injury, he looks done.
Schultz is a warrior and was ok defensively but they need a better two way player.
Can Streit and/or Schultz be traded?
Seems unlikely but who knows. - Marc D
I think if the Flyers had not made the playoffs Streit would have been traded. I think he finishes out his contract next season and is then done.
I have to imagine Medvedev is gone.
Depending on who impresses in camp, MacDonald will be on the roster.
So they'll have MDZ, Gudas, Streit, Gostisbehere, Schultz, MacDonald. Manning 7th D man. Hopefully Provorov or Morin can make the team..

No way this happens, but no matter how many times I've simmed/played NHL16 Flyers 2015-16 season, Streit ALWAYS retires at the end - arichardson22
I hope Streit retires. I don't see him retiring though. Untradeable contract/skill level/age. He probably doesn't want to retire after such a crap season he had. |

And yes you sign Gudas to a 2-3 year deal. His talents will work wonderfully with the crop of fleet-footed, smooth skating 2-way dmen the Flyers have coming in now. |

Exactly, he will be the affordable sandpaper the current group of blue chip prospects is lacking.

Definitely keep Gudas. For a Truckulence type guy he's decent with the puck.
Aside from "lol DoPS", I have no idea how Ovechkin doesn't get a call for that knee on knee, nor how Chimera skates free after that nasty boarding. |

Huh? How could you take that as trolling? All I said was it sucks and you guys could have won that series if your best players showed up. Did they show up or didn't they? Has nothing to do with the isles and finally winning a round. |

I disagree and think he's played really well. MDZ, Ghost and Gudas are all keepers IMO. Streit, Schultz, Manning and MacDonald are the ones to replace with the young guys. - PhillySportsGuy
I'd deal him for a second in a second |

I did. Every player turns their body to go into a hit because you don't lead into a hit with your face, and you don't skate sideways. His leg turns, but it doesn't stick out.
Of course he wanted to lay a huge hit on Ghost; who wouldn't? Just because he went for a big hit doesn't equal him making an intent to injure the leg.
But if he's able to freeze time and reposition his leg, at top speed, between the goal line and the boards, then he deserves some sort of medal.
But keep wearing the O&B glasses, they serve you well. - jmatchett383
Dude, you don't need to tell me anything about being biased. I don't know what you're looking at, but these guys are the best of the best for a reason, they can do anything they want to at top speed. even me as a skater, going top speed, from the moment i hit the goal line to hitting the boards, i can extend my leg and back before i hit. its called skating, try it some time.
maybe stop feeling like you're required to play devil's advocate, its not necessary all the time |

After listening to an interview with Peter DeBoer this morning I have tremendous respect for what Hakstol did this season. PDB said he had to spend a few months figuring out his personnel and it wasn't until Xmas till things finally clicked for them, which was when the Sharks really took off this year. Hakstol turned poop into gold and got them into the playoffs which I think is a much bigger feat. |

I'm all for Demers this summer. Anyone notice trotz's post series comments and how he commented how LH heavy the flyer d was? Like it was a focal point for them to game plan on the flow of entries coming from left to right especially from ghost.
Gudas, myers, and Friedman I believe are the only righties with futures here. We need one right now.
Streit and schultz can be kept around another year. Provorov will not be handed the keys he's going to have to beat these guys out in camp

So, John Elway apparently called up the Eagles asking about Bradford. The Eagles gave their offer and Elway though it was too much. What do you guys think Bradford is worth when Kaepernick is reported to be about a 3rd rounder to Denver. |

Look at it again. The hit isn't even knee on knee. They contact at the hip.
Put on those new frames and give those peepers another shot. |
