Tough to find value here. Before the playoffs started the Caps were 4-1 and now their slightly lower. Caps are a -120 and Pens even in their series. Fair odds IMO as the Caps were the best in the regular season and the Pens the best since the addition of Daley and Sullivan taking over. But a rookie goalie, Murray, for PITT is scary.

Blues a -130, was -120 at 5 AM today, v Dallas minus Seguin. Almost looks like a slam dunk and everyone is taking the Blues which adds up to STL being scary.

I'd love to see an STL-WSH Final.

I assume these odds are already adjusted for TB loss and NYI win in game 1.

Such doom and gloom, it's going to be pretty much the same team. Don't see them as much worse. I'm going to wait and see how things play out in the off season. Be able to tell much more after we see what we end up with.
- walleyeb1

The same team=the same results in all likelihood. It's not doom and gloom, it's realism. They need to improve the team to improve the results.

Maybe because and anyone who has watched closely-Which at least half of the GM's don't, wouldn't take Quick over Crawford.

Ray of sunshine here.

Maybe the rest and rehabilitation from the extra time off ups their game enough to overcome the roster weaknesses.

Well I haven't bet so good luck....I just think it is an odd year and I wouldn't be surprised if the Preds came out of the West...If not the Sharks....

Pitt has the experience except between the pipes...Fleury could be back at least by the next series.

Only team left that knows how to win on the biggest stage is Pitt.

Not if they can bolster the D. And, they finally found a good 4 line combo, if they could have figured it out earlier and let them gel a bit, they may have moved on. If we can fill all forward positions early on, find a 4d, we can be back.

Seabs and Keith didn't have their best years either, hurt?

P.s. I'm just a fan, not an analyst. I'm always half full with the hocks.

Preds are basically 1 line, with a great D and a shaky goalie. Never know though.

STL 4 games to 1, 6-1.

STL 4 games to 2, 4-1.

STL to win series v DAL, -130.

Think the Blues tear up Lethomen and Niemi.

Kelly Chase says Brent Seabrook couldn't get on the plane by himself after game 7 because of what the Blues did to his back.

Might explain what we were seeing on the ice in that game.

- pdx2ord

My question is, was he in this condition in previous games. He had a horrible series, getting beat to pucks in his own end, tons of turnovers, and didn't have much on his shot. IF he was this injured previously, it irritates the hell out of me. IF he was that injured, then why play him? As much as Q (and several others) didn't like his game, Erhoff was available (unless Reaves really did some damage on that shot behind the net). If Seabrook can't walk, then he has no business in a game.

I know my entire argument here is based on a hypothetical, but if this was the case it makes the whole thing even worse.

I agree too, but if they "bolster the D" to the point where they are that much better then they aren't the "same team" anymore.

6' 194, big enough for me, if he's better than our current 5-7.

Leddy-sized. If this Russian can skate well (like Panarin), I'm all in. At that size, plenty able to add some muscle and a few lbs (205-ish) and be plenty hard to play against.
