Though he did have 6 assists this series, it would have been awesome to get a goal from toews at some points. Mainly last game. |

Why would you enjoy watching Ladd lose? Winnipeg didn't want to resign him, and buried him in the bottom 6 for much of last season which ruined his trade value. - WaterVsAnchor
Because a team that no one outside of their immediate market cares about, that's never won squat, thinks he's gonna troll this board.
We've got the memories of lots of recent success, including 3 Cups. Yeah losing blows, but still beats knowing your team is nothing, and going nowhere any time soon.
I'm pulling for your Sharks. |

I still can't get over that post to post shot. Was certain that was going in after the first post. Great series and a great game 7. Thought the handshake moment between Panarin and Tarasenko was awesome too - arichardson22

He's the only feasible trade chip and if you are correct that he can't match up then now is the time for him to go. - Al
I don't disagree but the return likely has to be a decent, middle of the first round draft pick if there is a kid on the board they really want. TT won't pull a top notch young Dman on ELC in trade which is what they really could use.
So I see Rasmussen on the team next season which gives them 4 pretty damn good players down the middle which is better than most teams can put out there on opening night.
Although he is no Brandon Saad, Panik should have a job because he brings some good size and speed. McNeill is either traded or has Chicago employment, same with Hartman. Time to move on from Desjardins, Fleischman, Weise, Rosy. |

I would have loved to hear what Toews said to Backes
I would assume it went something classy
Like Coach Q telling the blues in the Handshake line to go win the cup
I always liked Q in STL he was a victim of circumstance when he got fired

Who on the Hurricanes?
I'd like to see Stan go after Severson from the Devils. |

I agree that the better team won. The hawks had some bad luck (how does that not go in?!), but in the end, it is what it is. I'm thinking that TT is moved this summer and I think Andrew Shaw will want too much money, so he'll walk too.
I've said this before, but I'll say it again, Brian Campbell and Florida haven't extended his contract. He has already made a ton of money, what are the chances that he comes back from a cap friendly deal? |

Wouldn't be able to get like a Hanifin or Faulk, obviously...but maybe a little older prescience like Hainsey or Wisniewski (again; but he struggles to stay healthy). Slavin and Pesce are younger guys with big frames and some potential.

Stan Bowman, as JJ said, had a brutal summer. Traded away our 4D of the future, let the 4D of the present walk, and David Rundblad was re-signed. Another bad summer from StanBo and the "top contender" window could be near closed. Shame to see Hossa's beast mode wasted bc of a couple boneheaded plays by Seabs, Keith, & Gustaffson. |

TT is still an interesting player for a lot of teams...Decision time is now before he will have to be given away. Can't win another Cup using primarily 4 dmen as last year was a once in a lifetime experience.
Hawks used Rundblad 10 mins last night and Gustafsson 8:48...Blues had 5 dmen go over 16 mins and to be honest neither Rundblad or Gustafsson should dress in a game 7 situation.
Bowman will have to find a couple of uncut diamonds on the cheap that turn into gemstones. Dmen can play effectively well into their 30's but Seabrook and Keith aren't getting younger and trading away Leddy and Johns for nothing is done but hurts....So now is the time for Bowman to figure a way out of the corner he is in. |

Crawford is the only one they can trade of the $5mil+ guys. Hossa cant finish anymore but he is still a 200ft beast on the puck. |

If Hossa retires early, does the team get penalized for his declining contract structure? If so, does that carry forward to a new team if he's traded? |

Besides the glaring holes on D (maybe even more glaring if 7 doesn't look like a top 2 guy next year). I think this team needs 1 or 2 big fast wingers. Panik's speed and size created a lot of issues for Blues d-men. This team lacks guys that can go in on the forecheck and retrieve pucks for our skilled players. I still do not like the Kruger contract he showed me nothing playing along side two top 6 wingers. He wasn't even put on the ice the second half of the third period last night. This team will need 30-40 pts from him next year (I understand what he brings from the PK/Defensive side of the game). I don't know what KHL free agents there are but could we move TT for D help and have Panarin and Anisimov convince one to come over that can replicate to some degree TT's skill set (minus the charmin soft moments). |

How many posts did the Blues hit during the series?
Over all of the games played during the regular season and in this playoff series it's fair to say the Blues were the better team. Not by a huge amount but better. And they still only won last night by a goal on a turnover. |

Seldom do $5 mill goalies get moved and Bowman can't risk trading away arguably his best playoff player the last 2 years unless they are all out rebuilding-Which will not happen yet.
