In other words "please do not say mean things to me. I am sensitive."

Sure, I'll take that. Walked into that one. I just like to talk/read hockey.

The Wild will likely never win a cup and that's the God honest truth. The Avs already have 2 and yes it has been a while, but in the next few years the Avs will compete for it. The Wild will be suffering with overpaid, aged veterans.

These last few years are the best Wild teams that you have ever had and will likely see for a while, so enjoy your mediocracy and go ahead and keep trolling while you can.

- avsfaninmn

Who's sensitive?

How am I trolling? Because I'm defending my team getting ripped on? Whatever buddy, I don't necessarily disagree with much of your take, but I don't exactly see where the Avs are even close to being cup contenders any time soon and saying the Wild will NEVER win a cup is.... Well, obviously biased and completely unfounded and quite frankly a stupid comment. You just make yourself look immature with that kind of rhetoric

Wild are not the best team, but they're far from mediocre. Learn a little about teams other than your own, it will help inform you in future discussions.

Fair enough. Words on blogs in black and white can often times be taken out of context, but to be fair I do believe my comments can be pointed at times even when I'm being satirical.

As far as the comparison of our respective favorite teams, it's a tricky one. It's puzzling to me why the Avs aren't just flat out more successful! With the level of talent it seems like they should be every bit as good as the Wild.

I do believe the Wilds window of opportunity is starting to close. I still support the Parise/Suter signings, but truth be told they have maybe another 2 to 3 seasons before their play will undoubtedly begin to drop off. So I do believe if they don't get to the cup finals within that time frame, probably going to be awhile before they get another window.

Be biased all you want, but usually it's about your own team. My original comment was in regards to Radulov... How that turned into railing on Minny and calling me the troll is a bit perplexing.

Nope, if you want to provoke people and then cry about their responses more power to you. Enjoy.

Draft lottery this week!! Compher signed!! Rad looking at the rocky Mountain high come back!! Boom!!

Do you think the avs will try to trade at the draft? Like move up the board? Trade an Rfa (similar to the orielly deal last year) something along those lines?

I hope not. Only thing I would like to see them do is resign Matthias & sign Rads, draft juolevi or McLeod.

If they can move Mitchell and Holden in a deal...maybe for Franson, or something like that. Thats the only sort of trade I would like to see them do

I think they need to prove they can still draft some NHL caliber players beyond the top 3 picks...

But who knows what they'll do come draft day. Those are probably some of the toughest trades to see coming.

Why would anyone take a flyer on Radulov?! Guy is a dishonorable POS who quit on his team.

Players like him and Kovalchuk should be made examples of and given life time bans from the league.

- MnGump

Let's just go back to your intro into the Avs forum. Teams would take a flyer on Radulov because he is clearly an offensively gifted hockey player with a strong desire to win and us Avs fans see Roy as a great fit to mold him.

As far as dishonorable, he was in his ELC (a little different than Kovalchuk signing for life and leaving a year later). He also came back to Nashville to finish out his contract. Nashville clearly didn't have a problem with it even after he left to go home or they wouldn't have played him.

He is a solid player and if you watched the last Olympics you know the guy is competitive and skilled so why not take a chance? The Wild certainly don't have trouble picking up players that left the team that drafted them.

I said "likely never win" which is a statement of opinion not of fact. You are in a forum of hockey FANS. If anyone hear knew a damn thing that was going to happen they wouldn't be here in the first place. It is all opinion.

"Learn a little about teams other than your own, it will help inform you in future discussions." This on the other hand is "immature" rhetoric that holds no bearings. I know far more about the Wild than I want to know given my current location.

The big question for me this season is what is the plan with Tyson Barrie? Seems like half of Avs Twitter accounts think he shouldn't be in the NHL... His defense needs to be better, but the guy is a high caliber offensive defenesman. Can the Avs sign him and at what price or are they actually thinking of trading him and what could we get? (Same agent as O'Reilly, right?)

not the same agent as ROR, but same agent group.
If t he Avs trade Barrie, they are going to be in a world of hurt, taking multiple steps backwards next season

Agreed. They're signing barrie. He is a very useful offensive d man who is a game changer. They do need to find a d partner for him. Holden is not the answer. Him hoping zads growing into that role next year. I'm interested to see how will butcher develops. He could be a similar type player as barrie is. He has his senor year yet and then an ahl stint before he makes a big club jump

I think they should sign rads. That would be a win and upgrade in the top 6. Matthias yes, then we could send comeau to 4th line. I would like to see compher get a shot this season in the beginning.

Rads dutchy grigs
Rant mack compher
Landy Soderberg Matthias
Cody Agizo Comeau
Mitchell

all it comes down to is paying the guy fairly. He is in the 5.5m-6m range of a dman. Just give that man his money. YOu wont get a guy of his talent spending that in UFA on a dman, so why nickle and dime him just to spend almost as much and get a lesser player

The players projected 7-14 are all good fits for the Avs. Based on TSN's rankings. Juolevi would be a good pick but I like Sergachev, Chychrun, and Bean. Offensively? Jost is a player. He made an impressive showing in the U18s over the past couple weeks and is only gonna get better with some college seasoning at UND. The US kids made a good showing too. Keller is smaller, but lots of offensive upside. And Logan Brown is a beast. A man among boys out there.

Agreed. The Avs need to find a fair number and pay him. Good dmen are tough to find.

So something like:

Grigorenko - Duchene- Radulov
Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen
Matthias - Soderberg - Iginla
McLeod - Compher - Comeau
Skille

Trade Mitchell and McLeod. Ideally that include Iginla too but it's unlikely given his NMC and he's stated he doesn't want to move.

On D, it's unlikely the Avs can trade Holden and Gelinas but relegate them to nacho time/spot duty. Hopefully Stuart goes to LTIR and the Avs can pick up a serviceable D-man. Otherwise, pair Stuart with Bigras. Redmond to the San Antonio Rampage.

Keep Barrie depending if he can be signed for a reasonable sum and term. Otherwise, pick up Hamonic because they can't afford Yandle.

Barrie/Hamonic - EJ
Beauchemin - Zadorov
Stuart/xxxx - Bigras

Replace Army and Farrish and put some real systems in place.
