Hmmm... I guess I wasn't aware of anyone on the Wild screwing the organization, the fans and the league over by signing with the KHL.

Yet still consistently better than Colorado every season since those aging players were signed 4 years ago. Weird. BTW, how's that Iginla signing working out?

The Iglina contract is working fine thank you, well not as well as Mikko Koivu, who surprisingly showed up for the playoffs this year.

Iginla is actually still producing pretty well. Might be slow and make some dumb plays form time to time, but hangs in there. Remind me again how dumping HUGE money into Parise and Suter has gotten you to the next level. When do they hang that 8th seed banner?

Lastly, you guys have only been slightly better than us for three of the last four years... including an effed up lockout year. I'll take being just as consistent with our old guys as the wild with your overpaid choke artists.

Lets be real here. The goal is to hoist the cup at the end of the season. Neither of our teams have done it since 2001.

Weird...didnt know 2013-14 was 4 years ago?

Math is hard I guess. If you are going to troll, gotta get your numbers right man. (Wild have been consistently better for 2 seasons, just in case you need the help)
Coga for the win.

Wow wee! Gee whiz! First place in the regular season and last place in the post season after a first round exit... and eliminated by whom?... That's a pretty weak argument of semantics, even for you Coga.

Undeniably the Wild have finished every season ahead of the Avs since the Parise/Suter signings.

Ugh, Mn Gump you are quite insufferable. The Avs are not a good hockey team. I don't think anyone here thinks they are. The Wild are marginally better; not too big of an accomplishment. Neither of these teams have threatened to make a deep playoff run in the past decade or more. Until that happens, I see them in the exact same boat and it really doesn't matter if one team finishes higher or gets to play 4-6 extra games in the postseason.

The only real difference is that everyone here expects the Avs to make incremental steps forward (at best) over the next season or so and Wild fans think it's finally time to contend for the Cup whenever a new season starts.

This post is the epitome of a losers lament! So I'm insufferable for merely pointing out facts in defense of the ripping of the Wild?

I always find it funny how fans of a losing team find ways to rip and savage a team that is now a perennial playoff contender. Oh sure, the Wild have not been as good of a team this season, and you can argue that the cup is the number one objective, but I know one irrefutable fact... and that is, you can't ever win the cup if you don't qualify for the second season.

So you go ahead and enjoy your low expectations and your small "incremental steps" while I will expect my favorite teams organization to do everything in their power possible to bring a cup to Minny EVERY season!

Must be fun to be an Avs fan...

Oh MnGump. I really do respect your hockey knowledge and your analysis of teams, games, the NHL in general, etc. I'm not ripping or savaging the Wild - I just don't see the two teams as that far apart. Obviously you disagree. Wonderful.

I find you insufferable only in the way that you disparage and condescend people with different opinions. That is all; nothing to do with the actual content between the insults and use of emojis. I'll still read whatever you have to say in the Wild blogs and the Avs blogs because you know your business.

The Wild will likely never win a cup and that's the God honest truth. The Avs already have 2 and yes it has been a while, but in the next few years the Avs will compete for it. The Wild will be suffering with overpaid, aged veterans.

These last few years are the best Wild teams that you have ever had and will likely see for a while, so enjoy your mediocracy and go ahead and keep trolling while you can.

Fair enough. Words on blogs in black and white can often times be taken out of context, but to be fair I do believe my comments can be pointed at times even when I'm being satirical.

As far as the comparison of our respective favorite teams, it's a tricky one. It's puzzling to me why the Avs aren't just flat out more successful! With the level of talent it seems like they should be every bit as good as the Wild.

I do believe the Wilds window of opportunity is starting to close. I still support the Parise/Suter signings, but truth be told they have maybe another 2 to 3 seasons before their play will undoubtedly begin to drop off. So I do believe if they don't get to the cup finals within that time frame, probably going to be awhile before they get another window.
