I do remember. I was one that questioned it but never got pissed. Especially with the Grigorenko pick the year prior. I'm not a big prospect guy pre draft unless they played in college and I officiated one of their games.

There was an article on tsn.com I believe saying we were one of 5 or 6 finalists for him & that he was gonna visit each team, then make his decision.

That was last week though
Haven't heard anything since

If we miss on Stamkos, it would be nice to add him & Vesey to the mix

Thanks i'll check it out, if we miss on Stamkos he is the only player I would pay big bucks for. After him we should take our time in finding a scoring winger just to make sure we don't screw ourselves money wise later on.

Boedker, Ladd guys like that want 6 mill a year, let another team pay that. Same can be said for Shaw, he plays on the Hawks and is not worth 5 or more a year. Those are crap contracts

Saving our $$$ for next year is a much better idea than signing a 30+ year old to a long term deal now

Teams will have to make some interesting moves next summer with the expansion draft looming

And I don't think we need to rush things
This team is getting better
But making a wrong signing or 2 could set us back

Either Stamkos or no one as far as UFAs go
