Right but you have a limited amount of forward spaces. If you sign Stempniak, you play him. If you add other high talent, you start to lose places for your Thompsons and Josefsons

I think the talk of Stempniak is because realistically we probably aren't bringing in elite talent. Stamkos has his pick of going anywhere he wants, Boedker is going to get over paid and Okposo will be pursued by a number of teams.

Stempniak could likely be had on a one year contract, add him and a top 4 Dman. Who knows though, maybe a better option becomes available for a trade at the draft. There are some teams out there tapped for space.

I'll take any of Stamkos, Okposo and Boedker instead of Stempniak

The whole series has been a thing to behold. The Blues came into this series boys, and they're leaving as men. Chicago is an incredible team, but the Blues' pushback was apparent and strong in game 7. I think they learned what they needed to do after experiencing the resiliency of Chicago coming back against them. Heck of a series, probably will be the best one of the playoffs.

How the NHL sets up the playoff matchups is shtupid tho. Go back to 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 etc.
