The Leafs need to not pay much for goalies who haven't proven they are starters. So many half-assed attempts have failed in the past. Yeah Andersen looks amazing but Bernier was supposed to be great when they got him too.

Bernier has no hope, If and when they get into the playoffs he's just not big enough to constantly just get in the way of pucks.

If Lou thinks Andersen is the next Schneider I guess that's cool and I'd have to just hope he's right but I'm not convinced really. Goalies are so damn hard to predict.

I agree with you somewhat. I just think Kadri would be the best trade bait for a good goalie. We would be really strong down the middle if we got Stammer and Matthews.

Continue to suck for another year or 2... Be able to get a good goalie when more comes out on the expansion draft, probably won't have to give up much for one then. We are pretty well set at forward depth for a while.. Time to start looking at the back end.

Realistically they will suck for at least one more year regardless of the draft or who they sign in July.

Personally, i'd wait to see if the goalie situation in pitss/tb or even Washington comes to a head over the next 12 months.

Might find a young goalie better than an andersen.
