There are no outstanding Dmen in this draft. Sergachev and Puljujarvi are good . Chychryn is ok and the rest fall in place at a lower rating. If I am drafting that high I am not wasting the pick on a questionable prospect

Just some food for thought oh wise-one, none of the top five point producers on defence this year were first round picks. There's lots of good dmen out there, you've just gotta find them.

So I disagree with your assessment. Drafting top five, sure, take BPA. If moving down, you take Bean or another offensive dman late in the first or early second.
