It's so rare that I'm not disappointed by a Pinot. It's not that they are ever bad, they just taste like good wine that's been watered down. - CubanBuffet

Bye-Bye LA.
This is probably good for my master plan off season signing hopes of picking up Lucic. - dbot

LA never did. I doubt they'll be trying too hard to sign him. |

And that's the last of Lecavalier. He was the best player in hockey for a time. That guy was an absolute beast back before the injuries began. He master quite the dynasty in my PS2 NHL 2003. It's not really a shame, because he's a shell of his former self and all things have an ending, but I'll remember him fondly.

That series vs Calgary and that fight with Iggy during scf.
I remember tracking down a pub in NZ to watch that game.

EXACTLY
He is going to demand a contract that is 7 years in length easily, and the first number will probably be a $7 in the dollar amount or possibly an $8

Thank you...an offer sheet is incredibly stupid for a rebuilding club. - CanuckDon
So is Lindholm worth a 1st & 3rd at his age for 5.4m per?
Or rather not sign a good young top 4 D & hope for a bottom 5 finish?
Realistically we r not a bottom 5 team IMO |

I have a read a few people suggest that we will bounce back next year, or that this year is some kind of anomaly.
I don't know how you come to the conclusion that we won't suck next year too.
Sedin's are a year older.
Goalies remain the same most likely.
Injuries could be just as bad or worse.
Our D still sucks and no immediate reinforcements are coming.
Maybe things will look different after July 1st, but at this stage, i'm not optimistic. |

You do realize his current contract pays him $6 Million.
He is going to get $7 million simply for his age (27), and contracts don't go down.
This is his last pay day, and you want our highest paid player to be Lucic.

No in central BC. I still have a job in Alberta. I just want to work at home. Tired of the commuting lifestyle.
In golfing news I recently shot a 68...on a par 3. - thundachunk

Hopefully they buy out brown and sign Lucic. |

What a bad contract for brown, 5 years left at $5.9 Million
I think Lucic will break down just like brown over the next 3 years cause of his physicality and the team that signs him will just be regretting the contract.

I'd take Lucic...our team is soft as (frank). That being said he will get paid more than he is worth so no chance. I wouldn't offer more than 3 years |

I disagree. There isnt just one model of rebuilding where you force players to waive and trade them and never sign any experience to play with your young players.
The "Edmonton Model" sucks btw. You need some experience. - boonerbuck
First of all I don't think the Canucks are rebuilding , I am one of the few that think they will ice a competitive team next year. I think this will be a top 15 team.
I was pointing out to Don if you are going to rebuild pull off the bandaid.
I think now that they have a top 6 pick, Bo JV Boeser JM Sven Eten Demko Markstrom Rodin Tramkin and Hutton rebuildinding is over. |
