I wasn't happy with how he couldn't score in a soccer net at this point

A first round exit from the playoffs might be Paradise in Philly, but not in NYC!

How bad is missing the playoffs for a couple years going to feel?

only somebody who just blindly hates NY could look at the Rangers and say they aren't a playoff team next year

10 out of 30 teams had 100 or more points this year and the Rangers were one of them, Pittsburgh would have made most of those teams look bad the way they are playing

I didn't mean next year, but it's probably not a bad plan.

If the Rangers are committed to reinventing the team, there a coule of issues I'd like to see happen.

First, have the PA announcer at the garden stop that special Henrik Lunnndqvist, introduction at the beginning of games. He should be addressed as all the other players on the ice.

Eject from the garden with a life time ban, that idiot who starts the "Potvin sucks" whistle chant. Enough already, 99% of the people in the stand have no idea who Potvin is.

Beg Joe Mullen to come in and run the power play, and fire Scott Arniel. Oh and actually practice it during the season.

Trade Nash, 7.5 million for a penalty killer is way too much, besides he's not a money player.

Buy out Girardi, he made the very most of his skills, but it's over, he's beat up beyond repair.

There are a few other issues I'd like to see happen, but I'm not sure Gorton will have free reign while the "cigar" is still around the front office.

I agree with the Girardi and Nash thoughts, the non on ice stuff doesn't affect anything

I think to lure Joe Mullen away from the Flyers they'd have to offer him a head coaching job.

Henrik Lundqvist also cautions against “overreaction” when analyzing this team. Strongly believes in teammates.

Eric Staal says he wasn't happy with the way he was used in New York.

Says he doesn't need to be the guy, but would at least like to be counted on to fill a defined role.

- BINGO!

The coach doesn't get a free pass in my book. Yes he took two elite rangers team to a cup and ecf but the way he handled personel in my opinion was poor. Sitting youngsters who deserved and shot to play certain vets who weren't getting it done nor were bringing the effort. Sat Lindberg for what seemed like an eternity. I just don't think this guy is gonna coach them to a cup.

AV never should have played Girardi in game 1, that is for absolute sure, Girardi said he started feeling symptoms during the game, brutal decision

Good Riddence to Dan Boyle. Guy was such and entitled cocky douche. I said it last year, every time he spoke to the media, he never criticized his own game. Always like, I don't have to explain anything about my game because I'm Dan Boyle. Epitome of the personality issue with this year's Rangers, no accountability to step up and play harder from too many guys. I guess thats what having a leader like Boyle in the locker room does. Funny, SJ seems like a much better team without him.

I do agree with this a little too. He had a right to curse Brooks out but I agree, never heard him criticize his own game or talk about how he had to be better. Although at 39, what else is he gonna do?
