One guy yesterday proposed a Stepan for Ryan Ellis swap. You know, that's a deal that's pretty realistic in my opinion. That would be your Stralman 2.0. Ellis is able to make that first pass out of the zone and has a good hard shot from the point on the power play. Send Brassard. Or send a Hayes package. - Anthony5967
I really liked Ellis back in 2009 at draft time and was wishing he was going to last until 19 when the Rangers picked and ended up with Kreider
but, I do think Nashville would have to sweeten the deal a little bit
He'd fit right in at 5'10 180 lbs haha - Slimtj100
Size isn't the issue. We hit Pitt into obvious and midgets like Rust and Sheary and softies like Kessel still out worked and out grinded everyone on our team from Kreider down to Zucc. Look at Tampa and Johnson and Drouin.
Size doesn't mean poop in today's NHL. Not one facking thing.

i still think effective size is an extremely valuable commodity.

Needs to be an intimidation factor. Im not sure what our identity is anymore, but I know this teams come into our building and we have nothing to intimidate them with. Been saying this for years. The smaller successful teams have uber talent which is obviously a factor, let's face it we have middle-of-the-road talent.

Our identity is Nick Mangold trying to scare the shyt out of the opposing team behind the bench

Id love if he played hockey haha
I know I'm in th minority with the size thing. It's not just size, it's like I said, it's intimidation. Look at the isles as a perfect example...that czikas Martin clutterbuck line...how many times does that line go out and either start trouble, huge hit etc. They intimidate. Gets the HOME CROWD roaring. We have not had that whatsoever, and it's a huge issue

Lundqvist has masked so many of this teams issues forever and he finally hit the wall and look what happens. No one can say he wasn't the sole reason they won all those series. Down 3-1 in them especially. All he does is get shyt on by other teams fans

henrik is the man.
however, he is getting older. and that is a hell of a cap hit should he begin to decline. obvious things i know. but so is the fact that he is the man haha

I don't think there's a player in sports that has earned his money more than him
