There is no doubt on my mind. He would probably find his way to the Penguins, somehow. - Pete V

Unless G is bought out or dealt and same with Nash, Stamkos isn't even a possibility. And who knows if Gorton wants to pay one player 11.5mil a year for say 7-8 years. That's an albatross contract. - Anthony5967
Stamkos is for sure a possibility yo |

I think this Kreider, Miller, Hayes thing changes on a regular basis depending upon which of them is playing well at the time. Right now, Hayes should be the odd man out in a lot of people's minds, because he is the one slumping. At some points it was Miller. At others points, it was Kreider. The whole thing is so confusing. - Pete V
I feel JT is a better play than Hayes. He battles, he hits you , works hard in the corners and has 25 goal potential in my opinion. Hayes is a big center who has issues on draws and if this team wants to go with size fine but he doesn't use it enough and doesn't throw the body. Kreider is a 5 tool player in baseball terms but seems to dominate at times and then at times he feels like snoozing through the game. |

Yea if you could clear Nash's 7.8 and say Staal's 5.7 or Girardi's 5.5. Ranger fans are going onto General fanager or hockeyscap and playing armchair GM giving Stamkos 8.5 mill dollar deals |

Hayes needs to have an extreme summer of workouts and come into training camp as a new man |

I view Kreider as more of a two tool player -- speed and strength. He doesn't have much dangle, his hands are suspect, not a great passer, and while he pot 20-25 goals, IMO, I don't think he has a lot of snipe (which prevents him from being a 30 goal guy). Also, don't think he has a particularly high hockey IQ.
Edit: But I agree with Jimbo, if he ended up somewhere else in the Eastern Conference, he would probably massacre the Rangers. |

I think we need to cut Hayes some slack. Bad year after rookie season is common. I would not give up on him yet. |

Hear me out...
3 way deal involving unknown team lol
Rangers get the Sedins
Unk team gets Nash
Vancouver gets Kreider and prospects from unk team
If they can somehow afford Yandle after that I'd be shocked but if they buy out Girardi and trade Nash it would be possible you'd think
No sure of Sedins NMCs and such but you'd think they're ready to get outta there. - Slimtj100

Only because that's a typical Ranger move. Wether you me or anyone likes it is another thing. But at this point I'm up for anything that gets Nash outta here |

I think you're underestimating our cap space.
Stamkos on an 11.5M contract is possible, assuming a Girardi buyout and a cap increase up to $74 million. |

you think if they signed Stamkos that they'd trade Stepan?
I really can't see Stamkos, Stepan and Brassard down the middle |

oh you're saying that's a typical ranger move.. ya no doubt about it lol I thought that's the move you wanted this summer
Nash is a tough one. only cause of the salary we would for sure have to hang on to in order to make a deal.. but I do think its time to move on from him just have no clue what would come back |

More of a prediction yeah. However, I don't hate on others teams players like most people do here lol. I don't think we'd be any worse with them right now
I think to get rid of him you have to add something else and take on salary also. That's the whole point, Sedins are the perfect example here, thus why I made the prediction. I figure mgmt gives this group another two years before completely blowing it up and the Sedins conveniently have two years left. Suppose we did get them, then at the deadline in two if we suck we pawn them off and start the rebuild. |

This is not his pattern at all, it's just how the last 3 years have been. He's 32 years old and has a $7.8 million cap hit.
End of the day he's a good player, but there's too much risk involved for any team to take that on...
The Rangers REALLY don't want the Sedins, either. Especially if it costs them Kreider. |
