the infield. crawford will be here soon. franco is a stud waiting to happen. they can piece a second base rotation together out of galvis/hernanzed. alfaro is putting it together in the minors.

unfortunately, the outfield is the worst in the majors that i can remember in my entire life.

Appel is garbage. Trust me.

Lost too many players that had good defensive IQ over the past few years. Replaced with players that have perceived speed but overall this teams defensive game is lost. 1 out of 5 goals was hanks fault and bad luck off the knob of his stick. Each of the 5 goals ridiculous brain dead team defense leaving wide open lanes, leaving wide open players to come skating through the slot uncovered. Wide open rust standing alone in the corner for easy tap in, and then his 2 on 1 goal. Hagelin making the most obvious pass to Kessel behind the net with Klein leaving that option wide open and Kessel returning it back to Hagelin because Klein was 1/2 way on each pass. Brassard coasting with the puck while a Pens player is bearing down leaving a turnover right in the slot for Cullen. Sheary skating from the neutral zone across the blue line down to the slot completely uncontested. Feel terrible for Lundqvist. Worst team defense this team has seen in 10 years.

He was drafted twice...first number 1 went to college then was drafted i think 4th overall

yeah i never got that. especially waiting until its like a 3 or 4 goal lead. way to put yourself out there on a limb man.

i guess just consider it a slightly implied compliment that even up 2 people still werent secure enough in the ability to hold them at bay?

I am glad they are going out like this...gonna force them to have to make changes. I don't know what they are but changes are following...No one should be safe if it makes the team better

yeah groome will be the guy. but i do still think as a high school pitcher he is gonna take time. but nasty, lefty, front end ace potential. just might take 4 or 5 years. Thompson definitely has some potential.

Appel, I'm not holding my breath at all. but he is virtually a free lotto ticket. i dont think hell ever be able to rebound. but if he does, its found money. you know the potential skill was there at one point.

the bullpen is absolute (frank)ing trash. but i'm not too worried about that. that's the easiest thing to fix in the shortest amount of time once you can get the rest of the team together. if only they started the rebuild 2, hell even 1 year earlier.

This is case of just running into an absolute buzzsaw, there isn't much you can do about it. The team gave up after that Cullen goal in game 3. It's on the coach because he lost the team at some point, and I think it may date back to the TB series. Very similar results on home ice as here, no offense I mean. The D then was serviceable.
