Keep in mind the Flyers has to retain 50% on Vinny.
I don't think Girardi is movable, too much term left. Staal has a lot of term left, but I think he may be movable, but you have to get him to waive. I think Nash could bring back a pretty good return, but who would replace him, and again, he has to waive. Trading Lundqvist would just be insane and would be a white flag. - smellmyfinger
Retaining salary isn't a big deal to me. If a trade is there to help the rangers now and in the long term I am open to anything |

Nash has a limited NTC and Girardi's limited kicks in this summer, Nash is the one I want gone more than anyone, that $7.5 should be better spent and it's not all his fault or is he not a valuable player but he's not the difference maker he's supposed to be, I'm on the fence with Hayes as well, I want to resign Miller and Kreider, Glass can finally go, Stalberg in the same deal OK but more money he can go get it somewhere else - KreiderBomb
I thought Nash had a full NTC, I agree he is movable though, he would probably bring back a nice return too considering the contract ends when he is 33. Girardi is just a real difficult move to make. Kreider probably hurt his value a bit this year, which should make him easier to sign. |

Girardi is only a buyout by the looks of it. Not sure how benificial that is, but may have to in regards to the expansion rumblings. That's why, next year, I said keep him as the 7th Dman or at best 3rd pair then the expansion may happen. They have to limit his ice time as the only way to keep him fresh I believe. I happen to think he isn't completely shot, unlike most (glad he didn't play games 3 and 4 so he has no blood on his hands) He has lots of wear n tear however which isn't gonna get any better
Nash has 8 team trade list now, so it's very possible. I still say Toronto for him, call me crazy haha
Boyle is gone which will help
Moore gone which puts Lindberg in the every game lineup which is very helpful with the cap |

Plus Marek Hrivik looked pretty solid on the 4th line, the 5 game window he got during the season. He can fit in there to |

All that little extra money to these 4th lines add up (stalberg Moore and glass add up to what 4 mill about?) that's kinda where you need to save a bit. hrivik and Lindberg wouldn't be a bad 4th line with whoever
One thing they need to do is get a great penalty killer in here, without a doubt the biggest loss of the season was Hagelin there. Still not sure the money was worth it. I imagine that was a very difficult decision for them |

I wonder how much better this team would be if they traded for Palmieri rather than Etem, I'm 100% positive it was because of the (frank)ing playoff goal he scored and Sather said "that's flashy I want him!", should have brought him home to the team he grew up rooting for, this is also in my list of why this season is a nightmare, so many things have gone wrong |

What did jersey give up for him? I don't remember. Was it after the Etem deal? |

I think I've been following the Rangers longer than most on here , I date back to the original 6 . I bought a satellite dish (12ft) in the mid seventies to watch them play . Seen some great Ranger teams and some trash teams but I always watched . Today I don't know if I will or if I'm doing something I won't run home to catch the game . Why , because of a their pathetic effort !! This is to me is unacceptable in the playoffs . |

I don't blame you at all, there's so much abuse we can take
One thing that I don't think anyone touched and it bothered me was the next game response after the Letang stick to the face, I thought for sure that would light at least a fire, it didn't even light the pilot |

2nd last year, 3rd this year. Bob Murray said at the time of the trade that he knew that Palmieri was going to score 20 and they would be in cap hell trying to extend him after the season. Draft is a great time to be a buyer and trade deadline is a great time to be a seller (except it usually means you are out of it). Devils got a similar return (2nd and 4th) for Stempniak. |

That term though, after the head injuries. I had no problem with the cap hit.
I can't fault Lou too much though, they were coming off a cup finals in 2012 and were losing players like Parise and Clarkson. He was doing anything he could to plug holes with players like Clowe and Ryder while he thought the window was still open. |

I usually run through hoops to watch every second of every playoff game that interferes with my schedule. Like today, normally I'd get out of work by 230ish pulling some strings...but I decided against it. Not that I gave up, because I would never, but only to change it up for myself lol. No agony should it not go well. I'll be home by the second period tho so not sure how much of it I'll miss. Not rushing around tho haha |

My gf is the most positive Rangers fan I know. It could be 8-1 in the 3rd and she still thinks there is a chance. Haha. After last game she just said to me "the Rangers are (frank)ed" |

He's starting to do the unthinkable in Toronto too. Out from under the Phaneuf contract. Manageable cap hits for Kadri and Reilly, and this is Lou so you just know he's going to trade for a goaltender before next season. |

Like 1/3 of the time. Actually not bad for day 3. The other morning he took one at 6:15 in the morning. I was dead asleep and started gagging. Got up cleaned it up, there was no going back to sleep after that. |
